MANAOAG, PANGASINAN โ June , 2026 โ For almost thirty-one years after he made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the Filipino people, the name of 1LT ALFREDO D PARREรAS INF PA, continues to inspire generations of soldiers who wear the uniform of the Philippine Army.
At the Headquarters of the 702nd Infantry โDefenderโ Brigade, 7th Infantry โKaugnayโ Division, Philippine Army, dedicated a Hall in memory of the late 1LT ALFREDO D PARREรAS PA, a distinguished member of the PMA Class of 1995 "MARILAG" assigned to 68th Infantry (Kaagapay) Battalion., 7th Infantry ( Kaugnay ) Division, Philippine Army. 1LT PARREรAS, displayed exceptional bravery in the face of danger during an encounter with Armed NPA terrorist in Sitio Bato Baket, Barangay Bamban, Infanta, Pangasinan, during that faithful hour on November 02, 1995, placing mission and comrades above himself.
The hall serve only not as a place of dining and refreshment facility, but as a constant reminder of the courage, sacrifice and service that 1LT PARREรAS so nobly presented.
Leading the commemoration were BGEN RONALD BAUTISTA PA, Commander of the 702nd Infantry โDefenderโ Brigade, who paid tribute to one of the Armyโs young heroes whose sacrifice helped safeguard peace and protect communities threatened by armed insurgency.
