The event saw active participation from 38 students enrolled in various OWWA Scholarship Programs. Led by COL PATRICIO S. TOMALES INF (GSC) PA, Commander of the 9th RCDG RESCOM PA, the camp offered hands-on experiences such as assembling and disassembling fi****ms, navigating military obstacles, and engaging in team-building games. The camp also highlighted the cooperation with the Red Cross for providing first aid medication and the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) for safety and emergency preparedness.
The purpose of the event was to provide these young participants, who are dependents of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), with a unique opportunity to develop new skills, instill discipline, and build camaraderie. Through a series of challenging and engaging activities, the camp aimed to foster a sense of resilience, teamwork, and leadership among the youth, preparing them for future challenges and helping them appreciate the value of hard work and cooperation.
