‎In honoring the 𝟖𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐰 𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧, the Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Government College–Pagadian Campus ROTC Unit spearheaded by LTC MERWIN M BODOLLO (ART) PA proudly participated in the 𝐋𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐝 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐚𝐧, with the theme: "Ang bawat hakbang pasulong ay pagpupugay sa mga hindi kailanman sumuko."

‎Held as a tribute to the bravery and sacrifices of our heroes, the activity was actively participated in by the ROTC Officers and Aspirants of ZDSPGC Pagadian Unit, demonstrating unity, patriotism, and unwavering respect for the nation’s history.
‎
‎Serving the nation is not only defined by wearing the uniform but also by remembering and honoring the courage of those who fought for our freedom. Every step taken during this Lakad Kalayaan symbolizes gratitude, resilience, and commitment to uphold the values of heroism and nationalism.

‎This activity aims to strengthen the spirit of patriotism among the youth, foster camaraderie, and inspire every participant to embody the true essence of bravery and service to the country.

The ZDSPGC-Pagadian ROTC Unit under the leadership of 𝙇𝙏𝘾 𝙈𝙀𝙍𝙒𝙄𝙉 𝙈 𝘽𝙊𝘿𝙊𝙇𝙇𝙊 (𝘼𝙍𝙏) 𝙋𝘼, Commandant of ZDSPGC-Pagadian, together with 1𝙇𝙏 𝙈𝘼𝙍𝙔 𝙍𝙀𝙔𝙉𝘼𝙃𝙀𝙇 𝙅𝘼𝙉𝙀 𝘾 𝙀𝙇𝙐𝙈𝘽𝘼𝙍𝙄𝙉𝙂 (𝘼𝙂𝙎) 𝙋𝘼, Assistant Commandant, SSg Bernardo D Libertino (𝘼𝙂𝙎) 𝙋𝘼, ZDSPGC-Pagadian Admin NCO, 𝙈𝙧. 𝙂𝙞𝙡𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙩 𝙄 𝘽𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖 ROTC Coordinator and other Training Staffs/GMAs, and Advance ROTC Cadet Officers, led by 𝘾𝘿𝙏 𝙇𝙏𝘾 𝙅𝙊𝙀𝙈 𝙂 𝘾𝘼Ñ𝙀𝙏𝙀 Corps Commander, successfully conducted a MS2 12th ROTC FORMATION and participated the conduct of Culmination Ceremony of the National ROTC Month 2026 at PGC, Blue Oval Dao, Pagadian City.

Aligned with the theme, “ROTC: Shaping Disciplined Patriots – Stewards of Nation-Building and Pillars of National Security,” the event featured a video message from LTGEN ANTONIO G NAFARRETE PA, Commanding General of the Philippine Army, underscoring the ROTC Program’s vital contribution in shaping disciplined and patriotic youth committed to nation-building and safeguarding national security.

This successful participation stands as a testament to the unwavering commitment of the ZDSPGC PAGADIAN CUMPUS ROTC Unit in developing disciplined, capable, and patriotic cadets ready to serve the nation.

‎Following this, ROTC formation started with the usual checking of attendance and platoon counting, ensuring that every cadet was present and accounted for. Cadets practiced the manual of arms, drilling for every platoon, to build unwavering discipline through precise, synchronized movements that demand focus and adherence to commands. It also foster teamwork, as every cadet’s actions directly impact the unit’s cohesion. Additionally, these practices cultivate leadership and followership skills, instilling pride and a strong sense of collective identity among cadets.

‎ROTC formation started with the usual checking of attendance and platoon counting, ensuring that every cadet was present and accounted for. Following this, cadets practiced the manual of arms, drilling for every platoon, and also closed-order-drills. Selected cadets were also assigned responder duties to prepare them for emergency scenarios.

The main objective of this training is to focus and strict adherence to precise instructions in every drills such as Closed-order drills, inspection of ranks, assemble and disassemble of M16. Every movement from standing to executing a column turn, must be performed with exact timing, posture, and form. This rigor teaches cadets to prioritize accuracy, follow protocols consistently, and maintain self-control even in structured or high-pressure environments. By requiring cadets to master small, repetitive actions, drills cultivate a mindset of accountability and responsibility, as each individual’s performance directly impacts the entire formation. This discipline translates to all areas of ROTC training and future service, where precision can be critical to mission success.

It helps them to project confidence, maintain composure under scrutiny, and provide effective instruction and correction. The experience of guiding a formation through complex movements, maintaining discipline, and achieving synchronization directly contributes to the development of command presence as an essential trait for inspiring trust and leading effectively in any military context.

‎ROTC formation started with the usual checking of attendance and platoon counting, ensuring that every cadet was present and accounted for. Following this, cadets practiced the manual of arms and drilling for every platoon, worked on knot tying, and conducted exercises in disassembling and assembling the M16 rifle. Selected cadets were also assigned responder duties to prepare them for emergency scenarios.

‎The main objective of this training is to instill discipline and obedience. Precise and repetitive movements require immediate compliance with commands, teaching cadets to act reliably and follow instructions without hesitation—an essential trait in structured or high-pressure environments.

In honoring the 𝟏𝟐𝟗𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐀𝐫m𝐲, the Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Government College-Pagadian Campus ROTC Unit spearheaded by LTC MERWIN M BODOLLO (ART) PA proudly participated in the 𝐒𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐌, 𝐏𝐀–𝐖𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 held at Subanen Hall, Provincial Government Complex, Brgy Dao, Pagadian City with the theme:" Ang inyung matatag na hukbong katihan" on 07 March 2026.

This activities are organized in initiatives designed to encourage voluntary contributions of blood to help meet the medical needs of communities. Their core purpose is to ensure a safe, sufficient, and reliable blood supply for healthcare facilities while fostering social responsibility and saving lives and strengthens the spirit of solidarity between the AFP and the Filipino people.
