‎The Zamboanga Del Sur Provincial Government College-Pagadian ROTC Unit under the leadership of 𝙇𝙏𝘾 𝙈𝙀𝙍𝙒𝙄𝙉 𝙈. 𝘽𝙊𝘿𝙊𝙇𝙇𝙊 (𝘼𝙍𝙏) 𝙋𝘼, Commandant of ZDSPGC-Pagadian ROTCU, together with 1𝙇𝙏 𝙍𝙤𝙙𝙤𝙡𝙛𝙤 𝙈. 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙣 𝙋𝘼 (𝙍𝙀𝙎), Assistant Commandant, 𝙎𝙨𝙜 𝘽𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙤 𝙇𝙞𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙤 (𝘼𝙂𝙎) 𝙋𝘼, ZDSPGC-Pagadian Admin NCO, 𝙈𝙧. 𝙂𝙞𝙡𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙩 𝙄. 𝘽𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖, ROTC Coordinator, other Training Staffs/GMAs, and Advance ROTC Cadet Officers, led by CDT. LTC FRANZ LOWIE P. TANUDRA, Acting Corps Commander, successfully conducted the MS1 8th ROTC Formation at Gatchalian Basketball Court, Dao, Pagadian City (1st Semester).

‎The formation officially commenced with the flag ceremony, where the cadets rendered honors to the Philippine flag, reinforcing discipline, patriotism, and respect for the nation. This was followed by the checking of attendance to ensure that all cadets were present and properly accounted for.

After the attendance, cadets proceed a lecture on Land Navigation, delivered by Tsg, Cesar B. Sombilon (Res) PA . The lecture aimed to familiarize cadets with the fundamental principles and techniques of map reading, compass use, and terrain analysis essential for effective land navigation. It also emphasized the importance of precision, attention to detail, situational awareness, and adherence to standard navigation procedures in military operations. Through the discussion, cadets were encouraged to develop proficiency in determining grid coordinates, interpreting topographic features, measuring distances, and applying directional references to navigate safely and accurately as future reservists.

On 15 August 2026, the Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Government College–Pagadian Campus ROTC Unit, proudly participated in the Simultaneous RESCOM, PA-Wide 10th Blood Donation Activity, in connection with the 43rd Founding Anniversary of the Reserve Command, Philippine Army (RESCOM, PA).

The activity was held at the Covered Court, Barangay Dao, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur, bringing together military personnel, ROTC cadets, government officials, and other stakeholders united by one meaningful purpose: to save lives through voluntary blood donation and promote a culture of service and compassion.

The event was honored by the presence of 𝐇𝐎𝐍. 𝐃𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐍𝐀 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐄 𝐂. 𝐘𝐔, Governor of Zamboanga del Sur, together with her husband, 𝐇𝐎𝐍. 𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐎𝐑 𝐉. 𝐘𝐔, Former Governor of Zamboanga del Sur, and HON. 𝐇𝐎𝐍. 𝐉𝐎𝐒𝐄𝐏𝐇 𝐊𝐈𝐌 𝐂. 𝐘𝐔, Congressman of the 1st District of Zamboanga del Sur, alongside other distinguished guests and participants who showed their support for this noble cause.

The participation of the ZDSPGC–Pagadian ROTC Unit reflects the commitment of its cadets to the values of service, discipline, volunteerism, and concern for the community. Through this initiative, the cadets demonstrated that the spirit of ROTC extends beyond military training—it also means being ready to serve humanity and contribute to the welfare of others.

This activity was organized to encourage voluntary blood donation and help ensure a safe, sufficient, and reliable blood supply for communities. More importantly, it strengthens the spirit of solidarity between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Filipino people.

One donation can save lives. One act of service can inspire others. Together, let us continue to serve with honor, compassion, and commitment.

‎After the attendance, the cadets proceeded with the Preliminary Examination, which assessed their understanding of the lessons and topics previously discussed during the ROTC orientation and initial training.

‎Following the examination, the cadets attended a lecture on Military Courtesy and Discipline, delivered by Pvt John Mark Brigole (RES) PA. The lecture aimed to familiarize cadets with the proper customs, courtesies, and standards of military conduct expected of members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. It also emphasized the importance of discipline, respect, proper bearing, obedience to lawful orders, and professionalism in military training. Through the discussion, cadets were encouraged to develop proper military attitudes and conduct themselves with honor, discipline, and respect as future reservists.

‎After the ceremony, the cadets proceeded with their first basic military drilling session. During this activity, they were introduced to the fundamental drill movements, commands, and proper military bearing. Each platoon then performed the basic drills, allowing the cadets to apply what they had learned while developing discipline, coordination, confidence, and teamwork.

‎Following the practical drill exercises, the formation continued with a lecture on Republic Act No. 7077, also known as the Citizen Armed Forces of the Philippines Reservist Act. The lecture was delivered by 𝙎𝙨𝙜 𝘽𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙤 𝙇𝙞𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙤 (𝘼𝙂𝙎) 𝙋𝘼, who discussed the objectives of the law, the importance of the reserve force, and the responsibilities of every ROTC cadet as future reservists of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

‎On 28 June 2026, the Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Government College (ZDSPZC) Pagadian ROTC Unit successfully conducted its ROTC Orientation at the Maguindanao Hall, Dao Complex, Pagadian City.
‎
‎The activity was led by 𝙇𝙏𝘾 𝙈𝙀𝙍𝙒𝙄𝙉 𝙈. 𝘽𝙊𝘿𝙊𝙇𝙇𝙊 (𝘼𝙍𝙏) 𝙋𝘼, ROTC Unit Commandant, together with 𝙎𝙨𝙜 𝘽𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙤 𝙇𝙞𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙤 (𝘼𝙂𝙎) 𝙋𝘼, Admin NCO, in coordination with the NSTP/ROTC Coordinator, 𝙈𝙧. 𝙂𝙞𝙡𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙩 𝙄. 𝘽𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖, Graduated Military Assistants (GMA), ROTC Advance Cadets, and the entire ROTC Training Staff.

‎The program officially began with the collection and verification of the cadets' documentary requirements, followed by the attendance of all newly enrolled ROTC cadets. Once all administrative procedures were completed, the orientation formally commenced.
‎
‎During the orientation, the newly enrolled cadets were introduced to the objectives and significance of the Reserve Officers' Training Corps program. Discussions focused on the ROTC mission and vision, military discipline, leadership, patriotism, the importance of national defense, and the responsibilities expected of every cadet throughout their training.
‎
‎An open forum followed, allowing the cadets to ask questions and seek clarification regarding the program, helping them better understand the expectations and opportunities that await them as members of the ROTC Unit.
‎
‎After the orientation, the remaining time was dedicated to the organization of cadets into their respective platoons. This activity ensured that every cadet was properly assigned, enabling a more organized and efficient implementation of training during the succeeding ROTC sessions.
‎
‎The successful conduct of the orientation marked the beginning of the cadets' journey toward becoming disciplined, responsible, and service-oriented citizen-soldiers, ready to uphold the values of leadership, patriotism, and commitment to the nation.
