When registering your business name, make sure it is not generic. Using purely generic words like "The Orange Store" will get your application rejected because these terms describe the product or industry itself, not your specific brand.

Check out the TIPS below to make sure your DTI Business Name is unique:

🍊Add a distinctive name: Combine your trade description with a unique identifier (e.g. Sharmaine’s Fruits Store). Sharmaine is your Dominant Name while Fruits Store is your Business Name Descriptor.

🍊Avoid just locations: Simply adding your city or barangay to a generic word (like "CDO Orange Store") usually isn't enough if the core name lacks distinctiveness.

🍊Do a quick search first: Before submitting, use the DTI BNRS portal to check if a similar name already exists in your chosen business scope.

The National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC), in collaboration with the Local Government Unit of Tabina, Negosyo Center-Tabina and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), conducted a Soap Making Livelihood Training for the senior citizens of the Municipality of Tabina.

This training aimed to strengthen entrepreneurial mindset and financial management skills, and it empowers senior citizens to stay active, creative, and productive while learning a valuable skill that boosts their confidence, enhances their sense of independence, and provides opportunities for extra income. Even as senior citizens, they can turn what they learned from the training into a small business and continue contributing meaningfully to the community. 🧼✨
