With the strong support of Governor Divina Grace C. Yu, the Kalanisan Project is introducing clean and high-efficiency cookstoves to communities across Zamboanga del Sur, helping reduce indoor air pollution, increase fuel savings, and lower carbon emissions.
A total of 146,000 improved cookstoves will be distributed to households in Zamboanga del Sur to replace traditional wood-burning stoves. This initiative will be registered under Verraโs Verified Carbon Standard to ensure certified climate benefits.
Kalanisan is composed of local and international Filipinos working hand in hand with local government to deliver sustainable, community-based solutions.
Through this project, households can save 50 to 80 percent on fuelwoodโsignificantly reducing expenses, cutting the time spent collecting firewood, and lowering indoor pollution by up to 77 percent, leading to major cost savings for families.
In light of this, we invite women, mothers, and households to the Stakeholder Consultation and Launch on 7 April 2026 sa Maguindanao Hall, Provincial Government Complex sa Dao, Pagadian City.
