The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development , in partnership with the League of Local Planning and Development Coordinators of the Philippines, Inc- Zamboanga del Sur Chapter (LLPDCPI-ZDS), conducted a Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) and Zoning Ordinance Orientation on 20 August 2026 at the PGC, Dao, Pagadian City.

The Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA), in close collaboration with the PPP Center, has launched the Mindanao Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Facilitation Initiative in the Province of Zamboanga del Sur via a provincial roadshow.

This program seeks to raise awareness of PPP concepts and the PPP Code, with the core goal of accelerating the development of bankable PPP projects across Mindanao by providing targeted support to implementing agencies.

Chaired by Labangan Municipal Mayor John Raymon C. Yu, the Provincial Project Monitoring Committee under the Provincial Development Council (PDC‑PPMC) convened its 3rd Quarter Regular Meeting on 17 August 2026. The agenda focused on project progress updates, monitoring activity reports, and the resolution of issues and concerns affecting project implementation and oversight.

The PPDO, in collaboration with the Planning Division of PEO, conducted a month-long Pre-Validation of proposed projects funded under the 20% Development Fund. This activity was carried out to ensure that projects are implementation-ready and to prevent implementation delays.

In fulfillment of its core mandate, the Provincial Project Monitoring Committee of the Provincial Development Council-ZDS (PDC-PPMC) conducted a monitoring activity for the following projects:

1. Improvement/Concreting of Junction Tamurayan to Macasing FMR in Dumingag (MIADP)
2. Upgrading/Concreting of NRJ Poblacion Guipos-Singclot-Sagacad-Dongos-Old Mirapao (Dinas) FMR with Bridge (PRDP).

In partnership with PENRO-DENR, PENRO -PLGUZDS, and the Municipal Government of Labangan, the PPDO conducted a site reconnaissance for the proposed Ecotourism Park in Upper Pulacan, Municipality of Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur.
