Shaping the Future of Padre Burgos Through Participatory Governance
The Sangguniang Bayan of Padre Burgos successfully conducted a Public Hearing on key proposed ordinances that aim to protect our natural heritage, recognize academic excellence, honor exemplary public service, and strengthen local traffic regulations.
Among the measures discussed were the protection and declaration of the historic Mabolo and Acacia Trees at the Municipal Plaza as Heritage Trees expounded by Hon. Mary Kristine Y. Cuevas, the granting of incentives to Burgosanon students graduating with Latin honors, and the recognition of elective barangay officials who have faithfully served for three consecutive terms, discussed by Hon. Brian M. Gilles.
The hearing also included an important discussion on the updating of traffic rules and regulations, presented by Mr. Joseph B. Laguna, to ensure safer and more organized road management within the municipality.
This initiative highlights the commitment of the Sangguniang Bayan to responsive legislation, community participation, and sustainable local development for the people of Padre Burgos.
