CAGAYAN VALLEY COPS SCORE WITH REGION 2’s NO. 9 MOST WANTED IN ESTAFA CASE
The Philippine National Police, under the command of PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., secured the arrest of Region 2’s No. 9 Regional Most Wanted Person for Syndicated Estafa in Allacapan, Cagayan, on August 17, 2026.
The wanted person, known by the alias “Prank,” 48, female, Filipino, married, a college graduate, and a housewife from Barangay Utan, Allacapan, was arrested by the Allacapan Police Station as lead unit, with support from the Regional Intelligence Unit 2, PIT Cagayan North, 203rd Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 2, and 1st MFP of the 2nd CPMFC.
The arrest was carried out by virtue of two Warrants of Arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 7 in Aparri, Cagayan. The first warrant was for Syndicated Estafa under Article 315, Paragraph 2(A) of the Revised Penal Code, with no recommended bail, while the second was for violation of Republic Act No. 11765, or the Financial Products and Services Consumer Protection Act.
The arrested wanted person is currently under the custody of the Allacapan Police Station for documentation and proper disposition before being turned over to the issuing court.
PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. stressed that the PNP will remain firm in pursuing individuals sought by the courts. “We will remain relentless in locating wanted persons and ensuring that every arrest is conducted lawfully and with full respect for due process,” he said.
He likewise underscored the importance of accountability under the law. “Walang lugar ang pagtatago sa batas. Haharap sa korte ang mga may pananagutan,” he added.
The accomplishment highlights the PNP Focused Agenda, a framework for organizational transformation designed to strengthen police service and operational performance, particularly through Enhanced Managing Police Operations, which drives focused and results-oriented action against wanted persons.
As the PNP strengthens law enforcement and accountability under the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., it continues to assure the public of “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.”
