The Sta. Cruz Police Station District Barangay Ugnayan was successfully conducted with the participation of barangay officials, PNP Police officers, zone chairmen, and community stakeholder, barangay police. The activity aimed to strengthen cooperation, coordination, and partnership between the Philippine National Police and barangay officials in maintaining peace and order within the community.
During the activity, PLTCOL. Rexson Layug presented the accomplishments of Sta. Cruz Police Station 3 covering the period from January 2025 to May 2026. The presentation highlighted the station’s achievements, programs, anti-criminality operations, community engagements, and peace and order initiatives implemented within their area of responsibility.
PLTCOL. CRISTITO ACOHON also delivered his message emphasizing the importance of the CSOP (Community Service Operative Policy). He encouraged all barangay officials and members of the Philippine National Police to remain proactive in addressing community concerns and strengthening public service through unity and cooperation.
Meanwhile, PLTCOL. Aldrine S. Gran expressed his full support for the program. He shared that from 2013 to 2015, he served as the Station Commander of Station 3, making the event meaningful and memorable for him. He also acknowledged the presence and support of Zone Chairman/ MACAP, PCOL CRISTITO ACOHON, Gen. Santiago, PLTCOL. Rexson Layug, and all other participants.
In his message, PLTCOL. Aldrine S. Gran emphasized the importance of unity by sharing the example given by Chairman Grande about a “walis tingting.” He explained that when the sticks are bundled together, no dirt can remain uncleaned, symbolizing that unity and cooperation make a community stronger and more effective. He further stated, “If we united we stand, if we divided we fall,” encouraging everyone to continue working together for the betterment of the community.
This was followed by an open forum and question-and-answer portion where participants were given the opportunity to raise concerns, share suggestions, and ask questions regarding community safety and police services.
The activity concluded with the awarding of certificates to the participants and guests in recognition of their support, participation, and contribution to the success of the program. The event strengthened the partnership between the barangays and the Philippine National Police and reaffirmed their shared commitment to public safety, peace, and community development. 🇵🇭👮♂️🤝
