Filipinos looking to enhance their skills in the digital age can now take advantage of free online training courses offered through the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
The initiative comes through TESDAโs partnership with UNESCO-UNEVOC and the HP Foundation, aimed at expanding access to future-ready training programs and helping more Filipinos develop skills needed in todayโs rapidly evolving workforce.
Through the TESDA Online Program, learners can enroll in a wide range of courses covering artificial intelligence (AI), entrepreneurship, marketing, communication, finance, and business operations. The program also includes lessons on AI fundamentals, responsible AI use, and practical applications of AI in workplaces and businesses.
Currently, more than 30 online courses from the HP LIFE Program have been integrated into TESDAโs online learning platform, making these resources accessible to Filipinos nationwide.
The program is open to anyone seeking to improve their digital and employability skills. Most courses do not require a college degree, prior work experience, or specific educational qualifications. It is designed for students, overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), returning OFWs, fresh graduates, job seekers, career shifters, and working professionals looking for flexible learning opportunities.
How to Access the Courses
Interested learners may visit e-tesda.gov.ph and create a free TESDA Online Program account.
Applicants must complete the registration form and verify their account through an activation link sent to their email address. Once their account has been activated, they can browse the available courses and enroll directly through the platform.
TESDA said the courses are self-paced, allowing learners to study anytime and anywhere based on their schedule and internet availability. Depending on the course, participants may also be required to complete quizzes, assessments, and final examinations before finishing the program.
To access the online courses, learners only need a valid email address, a stable internet connection, and a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer.
TESDA emphasized that the online courses are completely free under its partnership with the HP Foundation and UNESCO-UNEVOC. Upon completing the required modules and assessments, learners may receive a digital Certificate of Completion.
However, TESDA clarified that the certificate differs from a TESDA National Certificate (NC) or Certificate of Competency (COC), which still require a face-to-face competency assessment at a TESDA-accredited assessment center.
According to TESDA Secretary Kiko Benitez, the initiative aims to equip Filipinos with the skills necessary to remain competitive as industries continue to adopt technology-driven operations.
โAs industries continue to transform through technology and innovation, it is important that Filipinos are equipped with the skills needed to remain competitive and adaptable in the future of work. Using e-TESDA, we can further expand access to quality training,โ Benitez said.
Through this expanded training program, TESDA hopes to empower more Filipinos with valuable digital skills that can open doors to new career opportunities and support lifelong learning in an increasingly technology-driven world.
