𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: O/A 06 April 2026, the The National Veterinary Quarantine Service (NVQS) Region VII conducted Troops Information and Education (TI&E) to the personnel of Coast Guard Station Southern Cebu together with its Sub-Stations, under the leadership and coordination of its Station Commander, 𝐋𝐂𝐃𝐑 𝐊𝐑𝐘𝐒𝐓𝐀 𝐌 𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐆𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐂𝐆.

This initiative aims to promote a healthy and sustainable agricultural sector by ensuring that all animals entering or traveling within the country undergo proper veterinary inspection. Through strict quarantine measures, surveillance, and the regulation of international and local shipping permits, the program helps prevent the introduction and spread of diseases such as African Swine Fever and Avian Influenza.

𝐂𝐆𝐒𝐒𝐂 𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐒𝐅𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: 11 March 2026, the Coast Guard Station Southern Cebu officially opened the CGSSC Sportsfest 2026 in celebration of the upcoming 7th Founding Anniversary of Coast Guard Station Southern Cebu. This activity will run from 11-13 March 2026 at the Covered Court of Barangay Mainit, Oslob, Cebu. The event is participated by personnel from the different CG Sub-Station of CGS Southern Cebu together with the active support and participation of the Barangay Officials of Barangay Mainit.

The said activity was spearheaded by the Station Commander of Coast Guard Station Southern Cebu, 𝐋𝐂𝐃𝐑 𝐊𝐑𝐘𝐒𝐓𝐀 𝐌 𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐆𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐂𝐆, who emphasized the importance of camaraderie, teamwork, and physical wellness among personnel in maintaining effective performance in the PCG.

This initiative served not only as a recreational activity but also as a platform to strengthen the spirit of unity and cooperation among CGSSC personnel and partner stakeholders. Through various sports and team-building activities, participants will be able to foster stronger relationships while promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.

This initiative forms part of the series of activities lined up for the 7th CGSSC Founding Anniversary, highlighting the station’s continued commitment to operational excellence, community partnership, and the overall well-being of its personnel.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: Coast Guard Station Southern Cebu has been placed on heightened alert and has activated its Malasakit Help Desk in support of Oplan Biyaheng Ayos: Pasko 2025, effective from 20 December 2025 to 04 January 2026 under the leadership of LT KRYSTA M BERGANTIN PCG, Station Commander of Coast Guard Station Southern Cebu. This measure underscores the Philippine Coast Guard’s continued commitment to ensuring safe, orderly, and convenient sea travel throughout the holiday season.

The activation of heightened alert status forms part of the Philippine Coast Guard’s nationwide efforts to safeguard passengers and seafarers amid the anticipated increase in maritime traffic during the holiday period.

Through this proactive initiative, Coast Guard Station Southern Cebu, together with its Sub-Stations, reaffirms its steadfast dedication to public service and calls on the public to strictly observe maritime safety protocols and extend full cooperation to authorities to help ensure a safe, orderly, and peaceful Biyaheng Ayos Pasko 2025.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: 14 December 2025, the successful launching of the ICARE Program (Intensified Community Assistance, Awareness, Response, and Enforcement) was marked through a meaningful joint community activity and gift-giving initiative held at the Covered Court of Barangay Mainit, Oslob, Cebu. This activity was spearheaded by LT KRYSTA M BERGANTIN PCG, Station Commander of Coast Guard Station Southern Cebu, together with the Barangay Officials of Barangay Mainit, Oslob, Cebu, and the dedicated personnel of CGS Southern Cebu.

The event aimed to strengthen partnership with the community, promote maritime safety and awareness, enhance disaster preparedness, and reinforce the spirit of cooperation and public service. The residents of Barangay Mainit, Oslob, Cebu, including communities within its Area of Responsibility (AOR), actively participated and benefited from this initiative—highlighting the Philippine Coast Guard’s continued commitment to safeguarding lives, serving communities, and building stronger coastal partnerships.
