LGU Plaridel Achieves Perfect 100% Score in FY 2026 Child Protection Audit

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Plaridel has achieved the Ideal Level of Functionality after scoring a perfect 100% in the FY 2026 Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) Audit.

This is the highest level of functionality a local government can attain. The comprehensive assessment evaluated LGU Plaridel across four core areas:

Organizational Sustainability
Policies and Plans for Children
Budget Allocation for the LCPC
Service Delivery, Monitoring, and Management for Children

This milestone showcases LGU Plaridel’s absolute dedication to maintaining a safe, child-friendly, and highly responsive community for every young resident.

Misamis Occidental Triumphs as Bea Millan-Windorski Wins MUPH 2026

Misamis Occidental’s historic hosting of the Miss Universe Philippines 2026 preliminaries reached a grand climax as Bea Millan-Windorski of La Union was crowned the new queen at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Millan-Windorski, who was previously named the Miss AMORAP, Misamis Occidental Tourism Ambassadress during the province's swimsuit competition at AMORAP, will now represent the Philippines on the global stage.

Witnessing this milestone were Governor Henry S. Oaminal, Cong. Jason Paredes Almonte, and Mayor Gadwin E. Handumon, who attended the coronation to represent the province. While the festival offers everything from basketball tournaments to the prestigious Queen of Villaflor 2026 pageant on May 15, a major highlight of the calendar is the upcoming Officials & Congressman’s Night.

Scheduled for May 16 at 7:00 PM, this marquee event will take place at the unique Villaflor Barko Barko. The evening serves as a formal gathering to honor local leadership and the community, featuring a special collaboration with Congressman Jason P. Almonte.

The night is expected to be a significant moment of unity, celebrating the collaborative efforts between the office of Congressman Almonte and the people of Barangay Villaflor.

Panaon Set to Rock with Back-to-Back Concert Nights

The Panaon Municipal Grounds will host two massive nights of music this weekend, sponsored by the LGU of Panaon.

Tonight, May 2: Visrock legends Phylum take the stage alongside Archive Acoustic for a night of rock and soulful anthems.

Tomorrow, May 3: Hip-hop sensations Midnasty headline the second night, featuring support from Beyond Acoustic.
