SK 13's much awaited Laptop and printer is now ready to serve the Kabataang Trese! As of now, we only have short bond papers, so if your documents are long-sized, please bring your own.

This is open to all resident students of Barangay District 13 ONLY. Please present any ID or proof that you are enrolled in the current school year upon use of the service printer.

LOOK: WAVE 2 DISTRIBUTION OF SCHOOL SUPPLIES

SK 13's thrust towards sustainability includes the attainment of the SDG 4 (Education), specifically, outcome 5 (gender equality and inclusion) and means of implementation 1 (effective learning environments). Inclusivity is an integral part of the education system all around the globe. It ensures that no student will be left behind. SK 13 commits the same inclusivity to our Kabataang Trese as the school year reopens again mid-year. A study table was given to bona fide resident children in the barangay with paper and pencil/ballpen. This will greatly help them in their studies making it more comfortable. We will not stop there, SK 13 will strive to attain the SDGs and address the needs of our children and youth.

Massive appreciation goes to all the parents who wholeheartedly permit the SK Council to provide for their children. Our thanks also goes to mam April Ladrera for the supplies. LOOK: DISTRICT 13 SK DISTRIBUTED WAVE 2 OF HYGIENE KITS TO 150 FAMILIES IN THEIR BARANGAY

According to UNDP, "Good health is essential to sustainable development and the 2030 Agenda reflects the complexity and interconnectedness of the two. It takes into account widening economic and social inequalities, rapid urbanization, threats to the climate and the environment, the continuing burden of HIV and other infectious diseases, and emerging challenges such as noncommunicable diseases." In the SK 13's thrust towards development, we acknowledge SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) as an integral part of it.

Variants after variants, COVID-19 has remained to be a threat to the community. As the vox of the youth, we took action and stepped up our initiatives. 150 kits for 150 families were distributed today and we are overjoyed as a Council. We are not yet done with this pandemic, hence, we pledge to aid in alleviating life in this situation.

This wouldn't be possible without the SK Council members of District 13 and our partners. To Rica Mitz Cañete-Manto, Arthur Louise Hermias Gallano, Justine Nicole Morilla , Dan Wilbur Manlosa , Sheena and Christian, kudos to all for the unending support and efforts. "Vox adolescentia," the voice of the youth... our motto.

As part of the National Children's Month 2021 celebration with the theme: "New Normal na Walang Iwanan: Karapatan ng Bawat Bata Ating Tutukan," SK 13 just distributed a total of 71 school supply kits to its young constituents as an aid to their studies. According to UN, "Disparities between rural and urban areas also remain high." Nevertheless, children should have equal access to education despite the pandemic, hence, SK 13's initiative on providing school materials. One of SDG 4's (Quality Education) goal targets is "By 2030, ensure that all girls and boys have access to quality early childhood development, care and preprimary education so that they are ready for primary education."

Aside from the school supplies, the SK council also provided Arozcaldo as supplemental feeding to children ages 12 and below. Although the barangay is situated at the heart of the city, undernourishment is still an issue to some of the children here. SK 13 has committed its time and effort to address this issue as per SDG 2 (Zero Hunger).

More Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will be targeted in the next years to come. As a catalyst for change and development, SK 13 will continue hearing the voices of our youth for sustainability and innovation. Rest assured, the funds intended for these PPAs will be used solely for its purpose. The esteemed SK Council heard you, Kabataang Trese.

Here is the official list of beneficiaries for our Project iSKwela Wave 1.
Venue: GF, LM Citilane Bldg (to be confirmed). Nov. 29, 2021 @ 1-4PM.

📌 For minors ages 12 and below, they should be accompanied with their parents or guardian. A supplemental feeding will also be given to them during the distribution.
📌 Minimum health protocols shall be observed at all times.
📌To avoid overcrowding, minimum of 10 persons will be accommodated at a time.
📌 Names not included in the list will be included in the next wave of distribution. Stay tuned.

ATTENTION 📢📢📢

As part of the Children's Month Celebration, SK 13's Project iSKwela (Distribution of School Supplies to Elementary, Secondary, and Tertiary Students) will be launched on November 29, 2021 at 1-4PM (venue to be announced.) A total of 71 students will benefit from the said supplies provided by our esteemed SK Council. Rest assured, this will not be the last. To those who are not on the list, SK 13 will be re-opening the registration next month for the next wave of school supplies.

JUST IN!

Along with its financial independence, SK 13 is now financially accountable to all transactions they will have in the future. Being held accountable is a manifestation of SK 13's total responsibility for good financial housekeeping. Rest assured, all transactions will be posted on our soon-to-have FDP boards to be displayed in conspicuous spaces around the barangay for transparency of all SK transactions. Everyday, we are working for a better youth environment.
