The Phase 1 Training Workshop on GIS Fundamentals and Digital Tax Mapping for RPVARA was successfully conducted on August 13–14, 2026, at De Luxe Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City, as part of the continuing efforts to support the effective implementation of the Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act (RPVARA).

Mr. Joel A. Piit, Ms. Mae Glaiza T. Paclar, and Mr. Gerald D. Dañe together with our Municipal Assessor Mr. Edgar C. Olaco were honored to serve as Resource Speakers, sharing their knowledge and expertise in GIS and digital tax mapping with participants from the 23 municipalities of Misamis Oriental.

The training was organized by the Misamis Oriental League of Municipal Assessors, Inc. (MOLMA) to promote the professional development of local assessors and strengthen the implementation of RPVARA through technology and innovation.

The activity marked another step toward enhancing technical capabilities and advancing modern, efficient, and data-driven real property valuation and assessment.
