September 08, 2026 | BNPC Price Monitoring and Distribution of Price Freeze Documents in Olongapo City under State of Calamity; an Automatic Price Freeze on Basic Necessities is in effect pursuant to RA 7581 (Price Act), valid for up to 60 days from the declaration date.

Current inventory is sufficient to last 3–4 weeks. Five (5) establishments were monitored. All basic necessities are frozen at pre-calamity prevailing prices; monitored prices remain within DTI's Suggested Retail Price (SRP) levels. ​

All main roads are passable; public markets and retail establishments remain fully operational.

September 8, 2026 | The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Zambales, through its Consumer Protection Division, conducted an Ikot Palengke at Iba Public Market, Iba, Zambales. Seven (7) defective weighing scales were confiscated.

By doing this initiative, the agency helps protect local buyers from being cheated on their purchases, makes sure vendors follow fair trading rules, and keeps the public market honest and safe for everyone.

DTI reminds all sellers to get their weighing tools checked regularly and encourages shoppers to use public testing scales to make sure they get what they pay for.

September 3, 2026 – DTI Zambales, through Negosyo Center San Antonio, conducted an Entrepreneurial Mindset Seminar for 25 members of the Overseas Filipino Workers Family Circle (OFWFC) – Barangay Antipolo Chapter.

The seminar aimed to inspire participants to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset by recognizing business opportunities, embracing innovation, and developing practical strategies for sustainable livelihood.

It also highlighted the importance of proper planning, resource management, and adaptability in starting and managing a successful business. Through the activity, participants were encouraged to explore their entrepreneurial potential and pursue opportunities that can contribute to their families’ financial growth and long-term economic well-being.

Deliveries of goods are stable and unimpeded; current inventory is sufficient to last 3–4 weeks. All basic necessities are frozen at pre-calamity prevailing prices; monitored prices remain within DTI's Suggested Retail Price (SRP) levels. No reported incidents of panic buying, hoarding, or profiteering.
