One Street Level Individual (SLI) Nabbed in Anti-Illegal Drug Operation

Olongapo City Police Office – In its continued effort to combat the proliferation of illegal drugs, personnel of Police Station 1, Olongapo City Police Office (OCPO), under the supervision of PCPT MELVIN LAGMAN SAPNO, Officer-in-Charge, successfully conducted a buy-bust operation on September 14, 2026, at around 9:50PM along Arthur Street, Barangay West Bajac-bajac, Olongapo City.

The operation resulted in the arrest of one Street-Level Individual (SLI) drug personality and the confiscation of three (3) transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu, with a total weight of 1.476 grams and standard drug price of Php 10,036.80. The buy-bust money was likewise recovered during the operation.

The suspect is currently detained at the Police Station 1 custodial facility and will be facing charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

According to PCPT SAPNO, Police Station 1 remains firm in its commitment to disrupt the supply and distribution of illegal drugs in the city, and its efforts will remain aggressive and consistent.

PCOL DEONIDO S MANIAGO JR, City Director, OCPO, commended the operating team for their dedication and successful operation. He emphasized that the Olongapo City Police Office continues to intensify its campaign against illegal drugs and will remain relentless in its efforts to secure a drug-free community.

Wanted Person Arrested for Slight Physical Injuries

Olongapo City Police Office – Personnel of Police Station 1, under the leadership of PCPT MELVIN L SAPNO, Officer-in-Charge, successfully served a warrant of arrest, resulting in the apprehension of alias “John” for Slight Physical Injuries on September 15, 2026.

The warrant of arrest was issued by Hon. Marjorie Bituin Panaligan, Presiding Judge of the Municipal Trial Court in Cities, Branch 2, Third Judicial Region, Olongapo City, on February 25, 2026, with a fixed bail of Php 3,000.00.

The accused was presently detained at Police Station 1 and will be presented to the concerned court.

PCPT MELVIN L SAPNO, under the overall supervision of PCOL DEONIDO S MANIAGO JR., City Director, Olongapo City Police Office, emphasized that Police Station 1 will continue its unwavering efforts to track down and arrest wanted persons within its area of responsibility, underscoring the commitment of the Olongapo City Police Office in upholding justice and protecting the community.

JRTF-ELCAC 3 Operation Facilitates Voluntary Surrender of Former Militiang Bayan Member in Tarlac

2nd PMFC, Tarlac PPO— In line with the Whole-of-Nation Approach under Executive Order No. 70, combined security forces successfully facilitated the voluntary surrender of former Militiang Bayan member (Not PSR Listed), and later surrendered one (1) caliber 38 revolver without serial number with six (6) live ammunition on September 13, 2026.

The joint, intelligence-driven operation was led by Tarlac, 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (2nd PMFC), alongside with Mayantoc, Municipal Police Station, PIU TPPO, 3rd Mechanized Battalion, 304th Maneuver Platoon and 302nd Brigade, PA, SAC 23.

This success reflects the strong collaboration within Joint Regional Task Force 3 (JRTF 3) and the Police Regional Office 3’s (PRO 3) steadfast commitment to bringing former rebels back into the fold of the law," said Police Brigadier General Jess B. Mendez, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 3 and Chairperson of the RTF-ELCAC 3 Technical Working Group.
