Nagsagawa ng Clean Up Drive and Road Clearing Operations nitong umaga, ika-2 ng Disyembre, 2023, ang ating mga Barangay Officials sa pangunguna ng ating Kapitan Jerry Tombocon katuwang ang mga Brgy Tanod , Brgy Health Workers, Brgy Nutrition Scholar at SK Officials mula sa Purok Pag Asa hanggang Purok Centro.

Ito ay upang mapanatiling malinis at maaliwalas ang ating kakalsadahan at kapaligiran.

Maari rin po natin silang sabayang magsagawa ng clean-up drive sa ating mga kanya kanyang bakuran upang maiwasan din ang pamamahay at pangingitlog ng mga insekto tulad ng lamok na nagiging sanhi at nagbibigay sakit na dengue.

History of Barangay Canduyong

CANDUYONG, a barrio on the western Coast of Odiongan was founded by the people who came from Banton.The time of settlement however is not known for there are no records that could be found now.It appears that when the people of Banton came,this place was already inhabited by Mangyans and Negritos,whose origin was not also known.These MANGYANS and NEGRITOS settled in the interior Barrio that made wide clearings.They cultivated such crops as rice,corn,camote,gabi and camoteng kahoy for their foods.

During that time,this barangay has no name yet,they just call the place as BARANGAY.The present name CANDUYONG was known to have originated from the word “DUYONG” as sea mamal that used to be frequently at the bay.This mamal fish is exactly look like the horse,but the length is long and wide body,bigger than the carabao.
