The Department of Agrarian Reform Provincial Office โ Romblon successfully conducted a two-day seminar on ๐ ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฑ-๐ฎ๐ฒ, ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ, focused on ๐๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ณ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐๐ฆ๐ท๐ฆ๐ญ๐ฐ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ต (๐๐๐), aimed at strengthening the gender mainstreaming competencies of its employees.
The seminar featured discussions led by ๐๐ข๐ณ๐ช๐ข ๐๐ฉ๐ข๐ณ๐ฎ๐ข๐ช๐ฏ๐ฆ ๐. ๐๐ข๐ข, who presented key concepts and tools related to Gender and Development (GAD). The topics covered included Gender Analysis and its application in project proposal preparation, the use of gender analysis tools in developing gender-responsive initiatives, the application of the Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines (HGDG) in integrating gender perspectives throughout the project development cycle, and the GAD Focal Point System Functionality Assessment Tool (GFAST) for assessing and enhancing organizational GAD performance and implementation.
Each session was enriched with open Question and Answer portions that encouraged active participation, promoted deeper understanding, and provided opportunities for participants to share insights and experiences. The seminar also included energizers and capacity-building activities between sessions, fostering camaraderie, teamwork, and an engaging learning environment throughout the two-day activity.
