A film five years in the making, EDJOP: The Movie brings the life and legacy of Filipino student leader Edgar "Edjop" Jopson to the big screen, inviting us to reflect on a timeless question: what kind of leaders are we called to become in our own time?

This September, Ateneo de Davao University honors a figure central to Davaoeรฑo and Mindanaoan history, using his story as a platform for meaningful discourse and reflection on democracy, social justice, and the role of Ateneans in shaping society.

18th of September | Block Screening of "EDJOP: The Movie"
Faculty, students, and staff of the AdDU community will gather for a special block screening of EDJOP: The Movie, in collaboration with SM Cinemas.

21st of September | "EDJOP: The Movie" Campus Conversation
Filmmakers and members of the cast will explore the film's themes and Edjop's enduring legacy through a moderated campus conversation, followed by a space for reflection and dialogue with the AdDU community.

21st of September | Candle Lighting Ceremony
In remembrance of the 54th anniversary of the declaration of Martial Law, the day will culminate in a candle lighting ceremony commemorating Edjop and the many Filipinos who dedicated their lives to social change and the defense of human rights

In preparation for the historic 1st Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Parliamentary Elections, we invite our faculty members, students, and university personnel to come together in prayer, seeking Godโ€™s guidance and praying for safe, peaceful, orderly, and meaningful elections.

As the Bangsamoro people exercise their right to vote and shape the future of their region, may we unite in prayer for the guidance of voters, the integrity of the electoral process, the safety of all involved, and the common good of the Bangsamoro community.

Let us gather as one university community in solidarity, hope, and prayer, entrusting the elections and the Bangsamoro people to God.

May our prayers be a source of peace, discernment, and hope as the Bangsamoro writes another chapter in its democratic journey.
