The Municipal Local Government Unit of Santa Fe successfully conducted its Munisipyo sa Barangay program on June 5, 2026, in Barangay Poblacion, Santa Fe, Nueva Vizcaya, bringing government services and programs closer to the people.
The activity was attended by Mayor Liwayway Caramat, Vice Mayor Tidong Benito, and the members of the Sangguniang Bayan, demonstrating the local government's commitment to responsive and accessible public service. Representatives from various municipal offices and national government agencies were also present to provide services, information, and assistance to residents.
Among the services provided during the activity was the distribution of rice assistance under the Rice Assistance ProgramโLocal Government Support Fund โ Financial Assistance to Local Government Units (LGSF-FALGU) 2026, benefiting qualified residents of the barangay. The program forms part of the government's efforts to enhance food security and provide support to vulnerable and low-income families.
The activity also marked the official kick-off of the Arbor Day Celebration, led by Engr. Lensy Bunuen of the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) Aritao, who personally attended the event. The celebration underscored the importance of environmental stewardship and promoted community engagement in conservation efforts.
Through the Munisipyo sa Barangay program, the Municipal Government continues to strengthen its efforts to make public services more accessible while fostering collaboration among barangay local government units, national agencies, and the community in promoting inclusive development and good governance.
