Together, we make our community cleaner, safer, and healthier!

The Barangay Officials, Staff, and volunteers once again joined forces in our weekly clean-up drive to maintain the cleanliness of our surroundings and promote environmental responsibility. Through teamwork and community participation, we continue to create a better place for everyone.

This week's clean-up drive conducted across four (4) sites with the participation of thirty seven (37) volunteers and seven (7) barangay officials. A total of fifty three (53) kgs. of waste were collected.

Thank you to everyone who showed up and made a difference. Together, we keep our surroundings safe, beautiful, and sustainable. ๐ŸŒ

๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ“š LEARNING FROM EXCELLENCE: PASSI CITY EDUCATION LEADERS BENCHMARK BARANGAY SAN NICOLAS ๐Ÿ“š๐ŸŒŸ

Barangay San Nicolas, Buenavista, Guimaras warmly welcomed the delegates from the Association of Barangay Kagawad Chairman Committee on Education of the City of Passi, Iloilo during their benchmarking activity on May 29, 2026.

Led by Punong Barangay Raymund Gatinao, the Barangay Officials of San Nicolas shared the barangay's best practices and successful initiatives that have made it a recognized model of good governance and community development. The delegation was given valuable insights on the implementation of child-centered programs and initiatives that earned Barangay San Nicolas the distinction of being the Most Child-Friendly Barangay in the Province of Guimaras. Likewise, innovative and sustainable solid waste management practices were highlighted, showcasing the efforts that led to its recognition as The Outstanding Manager for Environment in the Environment Awards and Recognition of the Provincial Government of Guimaras.

The benchmarking activity served as a meaningful platform for knowledge exchange, fostering collaboration among local government leaders committed to advancing quality education, child welfare, environmental stewardship, and community empowerment.

The youth of Barangay San Nicolas showcased energy, teamwork, and determination during the successful conduct of the ๐—ฆ๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐—ก๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—น๐—ฎ๐˜€ ๐—ฆ๐˜‚๐—บ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—ฆ๐—ฝ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐˜๐˜€ ๐—–๐—น๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ฐ ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฒ held on May 7-9, 2026 at the San Nicolas Covered Gym. ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ

Initiated by the ๐—ฆ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ด๐—ด๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ž๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐—•๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ด๐—ฎ๐˜† ๐—ฆ๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐—ก๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—น๐—ฎ๐˜€, the three-day activity gathered young participants aged 9 to 14 years old for an engaging and meaningful learning experience focused on basketball, volleyball, physical fitness, and values formation.

More than just a sports training, the clinic aimed to develop fundamental sports skills, promote discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship, encourage a healthy and active lifestyle, and identify promising young athletes for future development. Through lectures, practical applications, drills, and elimination and championship games, participants were able to enhance both their athletic abilities and personal character.

The activity was made possible through the dedication and guidance of the resource speakers and coaches: Ptr. Ric M. Sedigo for Values Formation, Severino D. Demanalata III for Basketball, and Jason A. Gabo and Deryl Jose G. Reginio for Volleyball.

This week's clean-up drive conducted across four (4) sites with the participation of thirty six (36) volunteers and seven (7) barangay officials. A total of fifty five (55) kgs. of waste were collected.
