Councilor Ivy Lagman

Since the start of my term, hundreds of scholarship grants were given to indigent but deserving students with my ongoing Scholarship Program in partnership with QC-Scholarship and Youth Development Program (SYDP). In collaboration with Children International-Philippines, I have distributed a total of 18,000 books to our elementary and secondary schools in District IV, QC. I have donated industrial fans to all barangays of District IV, desktop computers, motorcycles with sidecar, school bags to our elementary students, tablets (in cooperation with our Rotary Club), and storybooks to our Yakap Day Care pupils as well. During this pandemic, I have distributed rice, groceries, alcohol dispensers, misting machines, hygiene kits, and modules to our constituents. I was also the principal sponsor of the Gambling Regulatory Ordinance, the first of its kind in the whole country. I also sponsored the Freedom of Information Ordinance when the President called out for transparency in our LGUs. I have encouraged our SYDP to prioritize scholarship through a resolution, to poor but deserving students whose parents are incarcerated.
