A powerful reminder that kindness can save lives, words can heal, and every young person deserves to feel safe, heard, and valued.
The Local Government Unit of New Washington through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office headed by Ms. Marichu R. Dantes in coordination with the New Washington Municipal Police Station and Municipal Health Office have successfully conducted a Mental Health Advocacy to the Alternative Learning System students in the Municipality of New Washington.
Through meaningful discussions and awareness-building, participants were reminded about Mental Health Awareness conducted by Mr. Emmanuel Andrade, Nurse II/Mental Health Program Coordnlinator of the Municipal Health Office, he discuss how to understand emotions, recognizing signs of emotional distress, and knowing when and where to seek help; and Bullying Prevention which was discussed by PSSG Kattyrine M. Valencia of the WCPD-New Washington MPS which promoted respect, empathy, and kindness while encouraging young people to speak up and seek help when bullying occurs.
