Today, Barangay Guinbaliwan successfully hosted the Negosyo Center Information Caravan held on May 28, 2026, in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). The program aimed to provide valuable information and services to aspiring and existing entrepreneurs in the community.

The activity started with registration and preliminaries followed by a warm welcome message from Hon. Leah Q. Ramirez, Punong Barangay of Guinbaliwan, New Washington, Aklan. Inspirational messages were also delivered by Hon. Atty. Shimonette P. Francisco , Municipal Mayor of New Washington, represented by Ms. Leda Regalado NW PESO Manager and Mr. Romel L. Amihan, Assistant Regional Director of DTI VI and Concurrent Provincial Director of DTI Aklan, represented by Ms. Roldan.

The event featured presentations on various government programs and services including DTI and Negosyo Center services, Consumer Advocacy, Small Business Corporation programs, BPLO, MAO, and BIR assistance. Participants also took part in an Entrepreneurship Seminar designed to encourage and empower local entrepreneurs toward business growth and development.
The program became a meaningful opportunity for the community to gain knowledge, strengthen partnerships, and promote entrepreneurship for a more progressive Barangay Guinbaliwan.

The Guinbaliwan Barangay Council, under the leadership of Hon. Leah Q. Ramirez, successfully carried out the Barangay Road Clearing Operation (BaRCO) with the active support of the Barangay Tanods, Sangguniang Kabataan members, and community volunteers.

Through this continous operation, the barangay reinforced the importance of keeping roads safe and passable, especially for emergency services,l and daily commuters.
