Building safer spaces and stronger minds. Empowered youth create stronger communities. ๐
The Sangguniang Kabataan Municipal Federation of New Lucena, together with all the SKMF of Second District in the Province of Iloilo, joined the Safe Minds: Youth and LGBTQ Empowerment Training which brought together young leaders and advocates to learn, share, and build a supportive community that promotes mental health, inclusivity, and understanding.
The training is organized by the Solido Kabataan (SK of Segundo Distrito) and by the Office of Congresswoman Kathryn Joyce Gorriceta with the support of our former Congressman, Michael Gorriceta. The trainers are from Don Jose S. Monfort Medical Center headed by their Medical Center Chief, Dr. Mariano S. Hembra and Dr. Elna L. Tecson, FPPA, Chairman in Psychiatry Department.
Together, we continue to create safe spaces where every voice is valued and every identity is respected, ensuring that everyone feels safe, heard, and valued.
