DTI issued a Nationwide Price Freeze on Basic Necessities, which took effect on 06 November 2025 and Will remain in force until 07 January 2026, pursuant to Republic Act 7581, otherwise known as the Price Act, as amended by Republic Act 10623.

Retailers and distributors are enjoined to comply with this directive. Any act of overpricing, hoarding, or unfair trade practices during this period shall be dealt with accordingly, subject to penalties provided under the Price Act.

DTI-Biliran conducts regular price and supply monitoring to ensure adherence to this mandate.
