In remembrance of our dearly departed, the Local Youth Development Council (LYDC) of LGU Naval, in collaboration with the Pambayang Pederasyon ng Sangguniang Kabataan (PPSK) of Naval and the Naval Youth Club, spearheaded the Oplan Candle Lighting activity as part of the UNDAS 2025 observance.

This meaningful initiative was conducted across the following cemeteries:

This annual commitment of the LYDC and PPSK Naval aims to honor the memories of our loved ones while promoting youth participation in community service and volunteerism โ€” in line with Republic Act No. 10742, also known as the Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015, which empowers the youth to take active roles in nation-building and local development.

๐๐€๐•๐€๐‹, ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ซ๐š๐ง โ€” The Pambayang Pederasyon ng Sangguniang Kabataan - Naval (PPSK- Naval) basketball team opened their campaign in the Inter-agency basketball tournament with a decisive victory over Biliran Province State University (BiPSU), with a final score of 107-94. The win marks a strong start for PPSK in the ongoing competition.

The match, held today at Naval Gymnasium, saw a competitive game from both sides, but PPSK's offensive prowess and coordinated teamwork ultimately secured the win. The team established an early lead and maintained their advantage throughout the game, despite a strong effort from BiPSU.

This victory sets a positive tone for the PPSK squad as they advance in the tournament.

Today, August 27, 2025, the Grade 7 students of Naval National High School (NNHS) actively participated in the comprehensive Awareness Campaign & Advocacy on the Pressing Problems of Youth. This significant educational initiative was conducted by the Local Government Unit of Naval as part of Linggo ng Kabataan 2025, demonstrating the community's commitment to youth development and empowerment.

The awareness campaign addressed critical issues that affect today's youth, including HIV/AIDS education, teenage pregnancy prevention, mental health awareness, and the dangers of illegal drugs. The program also featured an integrated Resiklo Program, emphasizing environmental responsibility alongside personal health and wellness. These topics were presented through engaging educational sessions designed to equip students with essential knowledge and life skills to make informed decisions about their health and future.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK), for spearheading this invaluable initiative that prioritizes youth welfare and education. The active participation of NNHS Grade 7 students reflects their eagerness to learn and their commitment to becoming responsible members of society. This collaborative effort between the school and local government exemplifies the power of community partnership in addressing youth concerns and building a brighter future for the next generation.

Dasig Naval: Linggo ng Kabataan 2025

Activity Planning, Designing, Implementing, Monitoring, and Evaluation Workshop for Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) councils and Local Youth Development Council (LYDC) members.

Held on August 23, 2025, at the Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) Hostel in Naval, Biliran, the event was participated in by SK chairpersons and SK members from all 26 barangays. The workshop was graced by speaker Ms. Luena Jane E. Badong, the Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) VI aims to empower young leaders with the skills needed to effectively plan and manage community projects, ensuring their initiatives create a lasting positive impactof Naval, along with the Local Youth Development Officer (LYDO) of Naval.

The Local Government Unit of Naval, in collaboration with the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) and the Pambayang Pederasyon ng Sangguniang Kabataan - Naval (PPSK-Naval), kicked off an Awareness Campaign & Advocacy on the Pressing Problems of Youth on August 18, 2025. Students from Cathedral School of La Naval (CSN) , Biliran Province State University (BiPSU), and Limpiado Memorial Foundation Incorporated (LMFI ) School attended the event, which featured speakers from the Rural Health Unit (RHU) discussing HIV and teenage pregnancy. The campaign will continue to engage more secondary schools until August 29, 2025.

DULA: Interbarangay Basketball League Commences with Municipal and Youth Leadership Support

โ€‹The DULA: Inter Barangay Basketball League officially commenced on August 16, 2025, at the Naval Gymnasium. The event, an initiative of the Municipal Government of Naval headed by Mayor Gretchen Stephanie M. Espina. Recognition is given to the Pambayang Pederasyon ng Sangguniang Kabataan - Naval (PPSK- Naval) and all Sangguniang Kabataan Chairpersons of the participating barangays for their sponsorship of the team jerseys, a key contribution that highlights a unified commitment to the youth of Naval.
