DUAW returned once again—bringing government service, assistance, and genuine care closer to the people.

Led by 𝙂𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙤𝙧 𝙍𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙤 𝙅. 𝙀𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙖, 𝙑𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙂𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙤𝙧 𝙍𝙤𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙮𝙣 𝙀𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙖 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙉𝙖𝙫𝙖𝙡 𝙈𝙖𝙮𝙤𝙧 𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙀𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙥𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙚 𝙈. 𝙀𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙖,essential assistance reached families in Barangays Sto. Rosario and P.I. Garcia, including AKAP rice, medical kits, medicines, and wheelchairs, walking canes, for those in need.

But DUAW is more than the delivery of assistance. It is a bridge between the government and the people—an opportunity to listen, understand their needs, and bring meaningful services directly to every barangay.

With every visit, hope is strengthened.
With every service delivered, trust is built.

The Provincial Government of Biliran, under the leadership of 𝙂𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙤𝙧 𝙍𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙤 “𝘿𝙤𝙠 𝙍𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙧” 𝙅. 𝙀𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙖, welcomed representatives from the World Health Organization (WHO), led by Dr. Tyrone Aquino, and the DOH Regional Office during a courtesy call to discuss their hypertension program.
The initiative aims to make Biliran and its people beneficiaries of stronger hypertension prevention, treatment, and health services.
Through continued partnership and collaboration, the province moves forward toward a healthier community—bringing quality healthcare closer to every Biliranon and protecting lives through prevention and care.

𝗪𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀

Almeria's 78th Charter Anniversary was made even more special with the presence of 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗼 𝗝. 𝗘𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗮, 𝗠𝗗, 𝗙𝗣𝗢𝗔— and a gift that means so much to our community.
During the celebration, the Governor turned over ₱22,500 in financial assistance to the Salangi Basket Making Community, helping breathe new life into a craft that has shaped Almeria's identity since the 1990s.
For years, Salangi basket weaving gave families a livelihood and gave Almeria a piece of its soul — but as time passed, fewer hands remained to carry the skill forward. This year, that story began to change. Thanks to the initiative of Hon. Dr. Sammy A. Sale and the steady support of the LGU under Hon. Maria B. Sale, this beautiful tradition is being revived — not just as heritage, but as a real source of income, pride, and opportunity for our tourism future.
With this new support from the Provincial Government, Almeria takes one more step toward a future where our weavers thrive, our culture is celebrated, and the art of Salangi basket making is passed on — basket by basket, hand by hand, generation to generation.

NAVAL, BILIRAN -The Provincial Government of Biliran, led by 𝙂𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙤𝙧 𝙍𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙤 𝙅. 𝙀𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙖, continued its commitment to empowering young Biliranons through the release of Review Assistance to deserving beneficiaries under Project PANGARAP (Release of Review Assistance to Deserving College Graduates).

The assistance was distributed at the Governor’s Hall, Capitol, Calumpang, Naval, Biliran, providing much-needed support to college graduates who are preparing for their respective licensure and professional examinations.

Project PANGARAP is more than financial assistance—it is an investment in the dreams, determination, and future of Biliran’s young professionals. By helping ease the financial burden of review expenses, the Provincial Government gives beneficiaries greater opportunity to focus on their studies and prepare confidently for the challenges ahead.

Governor Espina’s initiative reflects a simple but powerful message: when the government believes in the dreams of its people, those dreams become closer to reality.

To all beneficiaries, may this assistance inspire you to study harder, persevere, and never give up on your PANGARAP. Your success will not only be your personal achievement but also a source of pride for your families and the entire province of Biliran.
