IMELDA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL PROMOTES MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS THROUGH ENGAGING SYPOSIUM

In celebration of Mental Health Awareness Month, Imelda National High School successfully conducted a meaningful and interactive School Mental Health Program aimed at promoting mental well-being and emotional openness among students.

The event began with a symbolic and heartfelt activity wherein students participated in a “Freedom Wall”session. Learners wrote down their thoughts and feelings on colorful sticky notes and posted them on a designated wall. This served as a safe space for expression, allowing students to reflect on their emotions and support one another through shared experiences.

The formal program started with an opening prayer, setting a solemn and respectful tone for the day’s activities. This was followed by a discussion on mental health awareness, led by Mrs. Vina Mae Camading, the school’s Guidance Designate. She emphasized the importance of understanding mental health, managing stress, and recognizing the signs of emotional struggles among peers.

Students were then given the opportunity to ask questions and share insights related to the discussion. This open forum became a platform for dialogue where learners expressed their curiosity, concerns, and thoughts about mental health—a topic often shrouded in silence.

In a proactive move, the organizers also presented mental health hotlines, reminding students that help is always available and that seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness. These hotlines serve as lifelines for students who may find it difficult to cope on their own, ensuring that no learner feels alone in their struggles.

The initiative reflects the school’s commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive environment where mental well-being is prioritized as much as academic success.

This program is a significant step in breaking the stigma around mental health and empowering the youth to speak up, seek help, and support each other. As the school’s photobooth says,

,Imelda National High School continues to be a strong advocate of mental health awareness and education.

By supporting students emotionally, schools not only improve their mental health outcomes but also create communities grounded in compassion and resilience.

IMELDA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL CELEBRATES MENTAL HEALTH MONTH!

As we join the nation in celebrating Mental Health Month, Imelda National High School stands united in promoting mental wellness, awareness, and compassion within our school and community.

This year’s theme, “Access to Services – Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies,” reminds us that caring for our minds is just as important as caring for our bodies—especially in challenging times.

Let us continue to support one another, speak kindly, listen with empathy, and create safe spaces where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. Together, we can build a mentally healthy Imeldanian community!

BUGTONG-BUGTONG: SINO KAYA ITO?

Mga libro’t talaan hawak niya,
Katiwala ng pondo ng paaralan at distrito pa.
Senior Bookkeeper na bihasa,
Sa buong Narvacan South siya’y kilala.

Tahimik ngunit mapagkakatiwalaan,

Ngunit sino kaya itong tao,
Na sa aklat at bilang ay eksperto?
