May mga nagsasabi na namimili daw ang pagkolekta ng basura.
Sa isang banda—tama po. Choosy talaga kami.

Pero hindi po ito dahil sa gusto lang namin.
Namimili kami dahil may sinusunod tayong sistema.

Sa Bayan ng Narra, ang waste collection ay nakaayos ayon sa:
• itinakdang schedule
• coverage (regular at on-call collection at special collection)
• tamang segregation (Hindi kukunin ang halo-halo)
• at pag-avail ng serbisyo

Ang regular na koleksyon ay:
-Monday/Tuesday - Poblacion
-Wednesday - Panacan
-Thursday - Panacan 2
-Friday - Antipuluan

Ang natiturang 19 Barangays, nasa on-call system kung saan ang basura ay dinadala sa itinalagang lugar sa Baranagy at doon kukunin ng mga collector ng MENRO matapos tumawag ng in-charge para kunin. Kaya ON-CALL basis.

May minimal service fee na ₱60 kada buwan para sa residual waste collection. May mga palatandaan din tulad ng flaglet para malaman kung sino ang naka-avail ng serbisyo.

Para naman sa mga negosyo, kinakailangan ang Business Permit.

Ito po ay hindi dagdag pahirap, kundi bahagi ng maayos at patas na sistema ng pamamahala ng basura.

Ang bayad ay hindi po napupunta sa kolektor o sa MENRO.
Ito ay binabayaran sa Municipal Treasurer’s Office na may kaukulang resibo.

Sa madaling salita, hindi po kami namimili ng tao—
namimili po kami batay sa sistema.

Ang sistema ay ginawa hindi para mang-abala, kundi para maging patas sa lahat.

𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧: 𝐍𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐥𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐤.

In celebration of 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), together with the Municipal Tourism Office and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), conducted water quality monitoring at a man-made lake within the proposed ecopark site.

The area, once used for mining activities, is now being envisioned as a space for ecological restoration, responsible tourism, and environmental education. Monitoring water quality is an important step in ensuring that the lake can support aquatic life and eventually provide habitat for wildlife.

𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝𝙮 𝙬𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙨𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙨 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝𝙮 𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙨𝙮𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙨.
𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝𝙮 𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙨𝙮𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙨 𝙨𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚.

Because conservation does not begin when wildlife appears.
It begins when we restore the habitats they depend on.

From the endangered Philippine Cockatoo to the elusive Palawan Pangolin, the unique Palawan Porcupine, our native Philippine Crocodile, and our vital marine species like the Green Sea Turtle — their survival depends on what we do today.

Wildlife protection is not a trend. It is our duty.
Protect habitats. Stop wildlife trade. Reduce waste.

Because when wildlife disappears, we lose more than species — we lose balance.

Ang tanggapan ng MENRO LGU Narra, kasama ang pamunuan ng Barangay Taritien, ay magsasagawa ng assessment ng previously planted mangroves—para siguraduhing ang itinanim kahapon ay buhay pa para sa bukas.

Wetlands protect us.
Now it’s our turn to protect them.”

WACS Orientation = DONE!

From January 21–29, 2026, umikot ang mga tauhan ng Office of the MENRO sa iba’t ibang cluster barangays ng Narra para sa Waste Analysis and Characterization Study (WACS) Orientation. Ito ay pinangunahan ni SWM Division In-charge, EnP Shiela Nalda at MENRO EnP Neil Vidal Varcas. Kasama din sa naturang activity ang aming Planning Assistant at mga Environmental Enforcers.

Pinag-usapan dito ang mga sumusunod:
What is WACS? Hindi lang “basura”, kundi DATA! Why it matters? Dahil ang tamang solusyon ay nagsisimula sa tamang impormasyon; at ang Role ng barangay volunteers, dahil sila ang may pinaka importanteng parte sa pag-aaral na ito.

Salamat sa mga barangay officials at volunteers na game na game makinig, magtanong, at makibahagi. Dahil sa inyo, ready na tayo for next week’s WACS Activity Proper!

MENRO — still here, doing our part.

Tuloy-tuloy pa rin ang laban para sa kalikasan.

Nandito kami para protektahan, pangalagaan, at pamahalaan ang ating kapaligiran—araw-araw, kasama ang komunidad.
