LOOK|| KARANGATANGHALAN REGIONAL AND NATIONAL COMPETITION.
Theme : “Ang nag-iisa at magkaka-ugnay na karagatan at KAPULUAN ng PILIPINAS ay ipinagtatangol at itinataguyod ng nagkakaisa at pinag-uugnay na kabataang Pilipino- mula sa basura, polusyon, paninira, pananakop at iba pang banta."
Karagatanghalan Regional and National Competitions is an arts and culture competition under the Kabataang Makadagat and “Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo” (KKDAT) Program. It is a search for creative arts expressions featuring the Philippine seas and bodies of water that highlight to the world the Filipino passion for our MANA (Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness).
3. The PCADG is officially cascading the Karagatanghalan Competition, which shall run from April 27 to September with a Grand Finals in September 2021. It shall be the PNP contribution to the celebration of the MANA Month.
4. All PCADUs are enjoined to implement the Karagatanghalan 2021 competition in coordination with the PNP Maritime Group in their AOR. This year’s competition theme: “Ang nag-iisa at magkaka-ugnay na karagatan at KAPULUAN ng PILIPINAS ay ipinagtatangol at itinataguyod ng nagkakaisa at pinag-uugnay na kabataang Pilipino- mula sa basura, polusyon, paninira, pananakop at iba pang banta.
5. Concept of Operations: The general guidelines for the project are as follows:
a) Karagatanghalan aim to raise awareness and appreciation about the Philippine bodies of water to include seas, rivers, waterfalls and other in-land water systems, etc. These bodies of water shall be subjects of the five categories of the arts and culture competition namely:
1) Original Song Composition;
2) Interpretative Dance;
3) Spoken Poetry;
4) Visual Arts, and
5) Short Film. All entries must abide by the maximum total running tine (TRT) of three (3) minutes for the song, dance and poetry, and no more than twenty (20) minutes for the short film
