The Municipality of Naguilian proudly announces the approval and effectivity of the following ordinances:

🔹 Ordinance No. 391, Series of 2025
Establishing the Youth Information Desk in all barangays to improve access to programs, services, and youth-related information.

🌾 Ordinance No. 406, Series of 2025
Institutionalizing the Youth in Agriculture Program to encourage youth participation in agriculture and promote sustainable development.

These approved measures strengthen youth engagement, leadership, and community development across the municipality.

LOOK | PROPOSED ORDINANCES ON 1ST READING

Two important ordinances were officially presented on their First Reading to further strengthen youth participation and community development in the Municipality of Naguilian:

🌱 Youth for the Environment Program (YEP)
Aims to empower the youth in environmental protection, river rehabilitation, and climate action.

🏞️ Wellness Park in Every Barangay
Seeks to promote health, wellness, and safe community spaces across all barangays.

These initiatives reflect the commitment to sustainable development and youth empowerment.

📢 𝐏𝐔𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐂 𝐀𝐃𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐑𝐘

Please be informed that the Earth Hour event scheduled on March 28, 2026 (Saturday) has been cancelled pursuant to Executive Order No. 110, s. 2026, declaring a State of National Energy Emergency.

However, the clean-up drive at 6:00 AM and the observance of Earth Hour from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM, with the switching off of lights and non-essential electrical devices, will proceed as scheduled.

Ordinance No. 414 Series of 2026

AN ORDINANCE ENCOURAGING ALL BARANGAY AND SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN (SK) OFFICIALS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF NAGUILIAN, PROVINCE OF LA UNION, TO CREATE AND MAINTAIN SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS AS A MODE OF INFORMATION DESSINATION, TRANSPARENCY, AND PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT.

Ordinance No. 417 Series of 2026

AN ORDINANCE INSTITUTIONALIZING EARTHQUAKE PREPAREDNESS MEASURES IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF NAGUILIAN, PROVINCE OF LA UNION, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

Authored by Hon. John Rod B. Estira, these initiatives aim to empower our barangays and Sangguniang Kabataan officials to become more active, connected, and responsive to the needs of the people especially the youth and focused on earthquake preparedness measures, these initiatives aim to strengthen safety, awareness, and readiness of every barangay in times of disaster that promote:

🏫 Regular earthquake drills in schools and communities
🚨 Improved emergency response systems
📍 Designated evacuation areas and safety protocols
📢 Information campaigns to educate every household
