READ: Mandated under Memorandum Circular No. 2, series of 2021 of the Civil Servive Commission, the OFFICE OF THE MUNICIPAL MAYOR through its Local Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (LDRRMO) conducted a 4-Day Training/Seminar on PUBLIC SERVICE CONTINUITY PLAN (PSCP) Formulation.

PSCP is an all-hazard plan that aims to ensure continuos delivery of services to the public amidst any disruption. It works by highlighting internal capacities, recovery requirements and strategies to minimize damage and loss to essential processes, ensure succession of leadership and improve continuity capabilities of all government entities.

Said Training/Seminar was under the technical guidance of the Office of Civil Defense (OCD). This was attended by the LGU's Department Heads and Different Representatives from National Agencies who will also form part of the PSCP Technical Working Group (TWG).

READ: At 9 o'clock in the morning today, September 14, 2023, the Municipal Mayor of Naga, ZSP, Hon. Rino O. Delos Reyes, warmly welcomed Ms. Vida Dorea P. Mendoza, R.L., Mr. Chad Aren Diaz and Ms. Rhodora Valdez from the National Libarary of the Philippines (NLP) Public Libraries Division.

Said visitors requested such Courtesy Call to the Municipal Mayor in the hopes of campaigning for a Library Establishment and Affiliation. With the visitors noting that Naga has already established a Municipal Library which is strategically located in IBT, Barangay Crossing Sta. Clara, Ms. Mendoza proceeded to campaign for the Municipal Library's affiliation with the National Library. Once affiliated, the Municipal Library is entitled to receive technical assistance being accorded to public libraries such as initial allocation upon affiliation, regular allocation, monitoring and training. Mayor Rino was more than happy to announced his willingness to affiliate with NLP for the benefit of all Naganians.

During their discussion, the Municipal Mayor of Naga also conveyed his desire to reach out to Madrasah Reading Centers. He said he wished our young Muslim brothers and sisters be given the same assistance from the NLP in their Madrasah or Islamic Education in the Philippines.

The meeting ended with a promising vision for the Municipal Library of Naga, Province of Zamboanga Sibugay.

Heeding the Provincial Planning and Development Office's call to Capacitate the Civil Society Organizations in Local Special Bodies, the Municipal Mayor of Naga, Hon. Rino O. Delos Reyes, sent out CSO representatives from Local School Board and Local Health Board to attend the Capacity Development Training in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay from August 29 to September 1, 2023.

The objective of said training is to enhance effectiveness of CSOs in local development.
