Ayon kay Michelle, nalaman niya ang tungkol sa job fair sa pamamagitan ng page ng mga organizers. Bilang isang solo parent na may dalawang anak na binubuhay, nakita niya ang aktibidad bilang pagkakataon upang makahanap ng trabaho na makatutulong sa pang-araw-araw na pangangailangan ng kanyang pamilya.

"Nalaman ko itong job fair sa pamamagitan ng page. Bilang solo parent na may dalawang anak na kailangang suportahan, naisipan kong pumunta rito at mag-apply upang makatulong sa aming pang-araw-araw na gastusin. Maraming salamat po sa oportunidad na ibinigay ninyo sa akin."

Ang kanyang kwento ay sumasalamin sa layunin ng Local and Overseas Pintakasi Job Fair na magbigay ng mas malawak na oportunidad sa trabaho para sa mga naghahanap ng hanapbuhay at makatulong sa pagpapabuti ng kanilang kabuhayan.

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), in partnership with Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), successfully conducted the second payout for beneficiaries under the TUPAD Convergence Program, reinforcing the government's commitment to provide emergency employment opportunities as well as enhancing the skills and employability of workers through technical and vocational training.

The payout benefited participants enrolled in various skills development programs, namely Agricraft, Solar Installation, Electrical Installation and Maintenance, and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW). A total of four (4) training groups, with 25 beneficiaries per group, received their corresponding wages under the program.
The TUPAD Convergence Program combines emergency employment assistance with capacity-building interventions, enabling beneficiaries to acquire valuable technical skills while earning income to support their daily needs and improve their future employment prospects.

Through strengthened collaboration between DOLE and CBSUA, the program continues to empower workers by providing opportunities for skills enhancement, increased productivity, and sustainable livelihood development, contributing to inclusive growth and community development.

The Local and Overseas Pintakasi Job Fair, conducted on June 4, 2026, in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment โ€“ Camarines Sur Provincial Office (DOLE-CSPO), successfully brought together jobseekers, employers, government agencies, and training institutions in a collective effort to expand employment opportunities and promote workforce development in the province.

As of 12:00 noon, the job fair recorded a total of 828 registered applicants, comprising 578 female and 250 male jobseekers. Participating in the event were 16 local employers, including the Philippine Army, offering a combined total of 8,898 job vacancies, while two overseas employers provided 666 job orders for qualified applicants seeking employment opportunities abroad.

The activity was further strengthened by the participation of government partner agencies, including PESO Camarines Sur, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Pag-IBIG Fund, PhilHealth, Social Security System (SSS), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), and the Philippine National Police (PNP), which provided various services and assistance to applicants.

Training and educational institutions such as TESDA and SEAICT also participated in the event, offering information on skills enhancement and training programs aimed at improving the employability and competitiveness of jobseekers.

The Local and Overseas Pintakasi Job Fair reflects the continuing commitment of DOLE and its partners to facilitate employment matching, strengthen labor market connections, and provide accessible pathways toward decent and productive employment for Filipino workers.

The Department of Labor and Employment โ€“ Camarines Sur Provincial Office (DOLE-CSPO) participated in the โ€œMentor Me, Idol: 1st CEO Roundtable Sessionโ€ organized by the Camarines Sur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CSCCI) on June 3, 2026, at the CSCCI Building, Concepcion Pequeรฑa, Naga City, Camarines Sur.

The activity served as a platform for knowledge-sharing, mentorship, and networking among business leaders, aspiring entrepreneurs, and industry stakeholders. Through meaningful discussions and exchanges of experiences, participants gained valuable insights on leadership, entrepreneurship, business growth, and organizational development.
Representing DOLE-CSPO were Provincial Head Ma. Ella E. Verano, Labor and Employment Officer III J. Albuรฑan, and Labor and Development Specialist V. Hernandez.

The event was also attended by mentors, mentees, and members of the Camarines Sur Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) conducted the 4th District TUPAD Orientation and Distribution of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) and Identification Cards on June 3, 2026, at the BJMP Tigaon District Jail, Brgy. Mabalodbalod, Tigaon, Camarines Sur.

A total of 30 Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) were oriented as beneficiaries of the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) Program and will participate in the 30-day project entitled, โ€œIntegrated Facility Enhancement and Environmental Sustainability Project.โ€ The initiative aims to support facility improvement, environmental conservation, and rehabilitation efforts through productive community-based activities that contribute to a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable environment within the institution.

The activity was attended by JSINSP Alvin S. Orlain, Jail Warden; JO2 Maria Cathleen Rivero, Chief Welfare and Development Officer of Tigaon District Jail; other BJMP personnel; and DOLE staff composed of F. Parco and R. Gordo, Project Coordinators.

Through TUPAD, DOLE continues to provide emergency employment opportunities while promoting rehabilitation, skills development, environmental stewardship, and meaningful engagement among beneficiaries, contributing to both personal growth and institutional development.

As part of the implementation of the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) Program, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) conducted the orientation and distribution of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) and identification cards to 51 Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) on June 3, 2026, at the BJMP Sipocot District Jail, Brgy. Awayan, Sipocot, Camarines Sur.

The beneficiaries will participate in the 15-day project entitled, โ€œ๐—š๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐˜„๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—›๐—ผ๐—ฝ๐—ฒ ๐—ช๐—ถ๐˜๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ป: ๐—” ๐—š๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ฃ๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ป๐˜๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—œ๐—ป๐—ถ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐—ฃ๐——๐—Ÿ๐˜€,โ€ which aims to promote rehabilitation, productivity, and community participation through the painting of the Penology Building, repair of the water pipe system, and establishment of community gardening activities within the facility.

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), in coordination with the Local Government Unit of Iriga City through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), successfully conducted the Technical Advisory Services cm Safety Officer and First Aid Orientation on June 2, 2026, at the Tennis Court, Iriga City Sports Center, City Hall Compound, Iriga City, Camarines Sur.

The activity gathered 55 participants representing 61 establishments and aimed to strengthen workplace compliance, occupational safety and health awareness, and emergency preparedness among employers and workers. Participants were provided with valuable information on workplace safety standards, the roles and responsibilities of safety officers, and essential first aid practices to help foster safer, healthier, and more productive work environments.

The event was graced by Hon. Edsel Dimaiwat, City Vice Mayor, and Engr. Cynthia Audal, PESO Manager, together with PESO staff and DOLE personnel led by Senior Labor and Employment Officer Dante J. Apring, Engr. Licerio Abejuro III, Sharmaine Marbella, Carmela Manaog, Jocelyn Leah Alarcon, and Marl Darren Centino.

Through initiatives such as this, DOLE continues to promote a culture of safety, compliance, and productivity in workplaces while strengthening partnerships with local government units and stakeholders in advancing decent work and worker protection across the province.

On June 2, 2026, the Department of Labor and Employment โ€“ Camarines Sur Provincial Office (DOLE-CSPO) convened with representatives from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Camarines Sur and the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board Region V (RTWPB V) at the Downtown District, 2nd Floor, Elias Angeles Street corner P. Diaz Street, Naga City, to discuss the implementation of the Adjustment Measures Program (AMP).

The meeting focused on the programโ€™s implementation framework, including the respective roles and responsibilities of DOLE, DTI, and RTWPB, the provision of assistance to beneficiaries, planned program activities, and the coordination of strategies and next steps to ensure the effective, timely, and seamless implementation of the program.

Present during the meeting were DOLE-CSPO Provincial Head Ma. Ella E. Verano, LEO III Gladys R. Non, and LEO II Engr. Efren N. Zolas Jr.; RTWPB Region V Board Secretary Francia N. Ocmer, Senior LEO Karen G. Andayog, Administrative Assistant I Sophia Nicole M. Reforma, and JO/Clerk Mark Raymund L. Casulla; as well as DTI Camarines Sur Provincial Director Jay Ablan and Division Chief Junie C. Mora.

This collaborative initiative underscores the commitment of DOLE, DTI, and RTWPB to support workers and enterprises through strategic interventions that promote productivity, competitiveness, business sustainability, and decent employment opportunities while helping mitigate the impacts of economic adjustments on the labor sector.
