CFIDP YOUTH CAMP 2026

On May 19, 2026, the first day of the CFIDP Youth Camp 2026 with a theme “From Rich Soil to Rich Soul; Empowering the Next Generation of Coco Farmer Leaders”, officially commenced at Maligat Integrated Farm in Sto. Domingo, Vinzons, Camarines Norte, bringing together youth participants from different Coconut Farmers Cooperatives (CFC) for a week-long of learning, leadership development, and meaningful engagement in the coconut industry.

The opening day was highlighted by the presence of ASec. Abdulsalam A. Guinomla, head of Education, Advocacy & Union Cooperatives Cluster who delivered an inspirational message emphasizing the important role of young people in shaping the future of the cooperative movement and the agricultural sector. His message encouraged participants to become active leaders and advocates of sustainable development within their cooperatives and communities.

The camp also featured informative sessions from resource persons from the Department of Agriculture’s Young Farmers Challenge (YFC) Program and the Agriculture Credit Policy Council (ACPC), who shared valuable insights and opportunities available for aspiring young agricultural entrepreneurs and future industry leaders.

In addition, Ms. Regin M. Aycocho of the Cooperative Development Authority Region V (CDA R5) discussed the seven (7) Principles of Cooperatives, providing participants with a deeper understanding of cooperative values and practices that promote unity, responsibility, and community development.

Throughout the day, participants actively joined various activities designed to strengthen youth leadership skills and encourage greater participation in the cooperative sector. The first day of the camp set a strong foundation for learning, collaboration, and inspiring the next generation of leaders in the cooperative sector.
