The Naga City Sports Development Council Ordinance has been approved as part our city's laws!

In line with the City's goals in developing and promoting sports, the Naga City Development Council created through this ordinance shall oversee all sports-related activities within the city.

Some of the functions of the council include developing policies that will institute training programs for every sport and the provision of technical and logistical support to the City's athletes, monitoring and evaluating existing sports programs and policies subsequently recommending measures to be taken when necessary, as well as ensuring that sports programs are inclusive towards marginalized sectors such as the LGBTQ+ and Person with Disabilities.

The passage of this ordinance is a great step towards comprehensive and coordinated sports policies and programs, placing sports development as one of the core drivers of Naga City's growth and progress. We thank all the offices and stakeholders who supported and made this ordinance possible.
