๐๐๐ง๐๐ก๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ฆ๐๐ ๐ฌ๐๐๐ฅ ๐ฏ โ๏ธ๐ฅ๐คฉ๐ฅณ
Despite the intense heat, the energy, passion, and dedication of our young participants remained stronger than ever during the simultaneous exercises held at the Metro Naga Sports Complex for the first and second day of Batang Kalasag Year 3. ๐ช
Our young responders actively participated in various emergency preparedness activities including Basic Life Support (BLS), Water Search and Rescue (WASAR), and Emergency Response simulationsโproviding them with valuable knowledge and life-saving skills in facing disasters and emergencies.
The participants of the activity were delegates from the 27 Barangay Childrenโs Organizations of Naga City together with children from the Naga City Childrenโs Home, in partnership with different Barangay Councils for the Protection of Children (BCPC). Through this initiative, the important role of children as active partners in disaster preparedness and community resilience continues to be strengthened.
With the guidance and support of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), our young responders enhanced their readiness, confidence, teamwork, and leadership as responsible children prepared to serve and respond in times of need.
๐๐๐ง๐๐ก๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ฆ๐๐ is a child-centered initiative of the Naga City Council for the Welfare and Protection of Children and the Childrenโs Affairs Office that aims to empower children to become prepared, responsible, and responsive during disasters and emergencies. Through simulations, drills, and hands-on training, children are equipped with essential disaster response skills while developing leadership and cooperation.
Before the school year break officially ends, children were given the opportunity to experience meaningful summer outdoor activities through advanced simulation drills and emergency preparedness training that will truly help them grow into responsible and empowered citizens.
Together, we continue to build children who are prepared, responsible, and ready to respond for a safer and more resilient community.
