The Provincial Government of Davao de Oro, led by Governor Engr. Raul โRMโ Mabanglo , together with First District Congressman Maricar Zamora-Mabanglo, participated in the Outbound Investment and Tourism Mission to Manado, North Sulawesi, Indonesia from April 6 to 11, 2026, reinforcing the provinceโs commitment to expanding its tourism, trade, and investment networks.
The delegation was composed of key provincial representatives, including the Provincial Administratorโs Office โ Investment Division, represented by Ma. Janice J. Boiser, RN, DMO IV, and the Provincial Planning and Development Office, represented by Prime Enrique Rendon, DMO IV. The mission was conducted in coordination with national government agencies, namely the Department of Tourism (DOT), Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA), and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
During the mission, the delegation engaged in a series of high-level activities, including courtesy calls with Indonesian officials, business-to-business meetings in the tourism and trade sectors, and participation in the MindanaoโNorth Sulawesi Investment Forum. The team also conducted networking engagements with prospective investors and industry partners to explore potential collaborations.
The participation of Davao de Oro in the mission aligns with the mandate of the Investment Division under DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2020-167, particularly in advancing investment promotion, fostering partnerships, and supporting the development of a business-enabling environment within the province.
Furthermore, the initiative supports the implementation of the Provinceโs Gateway Connectivity Program, which seeks to position Davao de Oro as a strategic hub for tourism, trade, and investment within the BIMP-EAGA corridor.
Provincial officials emphasized that the mission reflects the proactive leadership of Governor Mabanglo and Congresswoman Zamora-Mabanglo in pursuing opportunities that will attract investments, enhance trade linkages, and generate inclusive economic growth for the people of Davao de Oro.
