The Sangguniang Bayan of Nabua Term 2019-2022 was hailed as 1st in Rank during the Regional Assessment and Validation of the 2023 Local Legislative Award. It was the term 2016-2019 when they also won as the Regional Winner and became a National Finalist.

The 2023 Local Legislative Award has been organized by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) in partnership with the Philippine Councilors League (PCL) and the Vice Mayors’ League of the Philippines (VMLP) to recognize outstanding Sanggunians for the term 2019-2022 in the country for their exemplary performance on legislative measures that help build the foundation in the attainment of desirable socio-economic and environmental outcomes for good governance.

The Sangguniang Bayan of Nabua thru the leadership of the three-termer Vice Mayor, Hon. Marissa Velitario-Hao, will represent Region V in the National Awards by the end of this year.

Hon. Marissa Velitario-Hao, the three-termer Municipal Vice Mayor of Nabua, Camarines Sur and the re-elected President of the Vice Mayors’ League of the Philippines Region V Bicol has been elected as National Vice President for Finance of the VMLP National Executive Officers during the 27th National Convention of the VMLP and Election of National Officers at Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila, February 21, 2023.

She was joined by Vice Mayor Willie S. Villegas of Sulop, Davao Del Sur as National Vice President for Administration and Vice Mayor Carmelita “Menchie” Abalos of Mandaluyong as National Vice President for Operations. Vice Mayor of San Mariano, Isabela, Hon. Anthony Dean G: Domalanta, was elected as the National President.

The newly-elected officers took their oath of office before Atty. Benjamin “Benhur” Abalos, the DILG Secretary.

RE: Concerns as regards to the submitted Barangay Budget for Review of the Sangguniang Bayan.
RE:1st Indorsement from the office of the Municipal Mayor dated October 10, 2022 requesting the Sangguniang Bayan Members to pass and approve resolution, to wit:
1. A Resolution approving the Revised FY 2022 Gender and Development (GAD) Plan and Budget of the Municipality of Nabua, Camarines Sur in the amount of TWENTY-NINE MILLION, NINE HUNDRED TEN THOUSAND PESOS ONLY (PhP 29,910,000.00), with reference to the MDC Resolution No. 02-09-22 dated September 27, 2022.
2. A resolution approving the CY 2022 Supplemental Annual of Nabua, Camarines Sur in the amount of EIGHT MILLION, FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND,NINE HUNDRED TWENTY-SEVEN PESOS ONLY (PhP 8,400,927.00), with reference to the MDC Resolution No. 03-09-2022 dated September 27, 2022.
