The Muntinlupa City Search and Rescue Team proudly earned a spot among the Top Five (5) performing LGUs during the Metro Manila Inter-LGU First Respondersโ Skills Evaluation, held on August 25โ27, 2026, at the MMDA Disaster Preparedness Training Center, Brgy. Lantic, Carmona, Cavite.
Organized by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the three-day evaluation assessed the technical skills, teamwork, discipline, and operational readiness of participating teams through practical exercises in Basic Life Support and CPR, patient handling, rescue knots, boat carries, shoring, breaking and breaching, tripod system setup, and confined space rescue.
This achievement reflects the competence, dedication, teamwork, discipline, and preparedness of the Muntinlupa City Search and Rescue Team and its commitment to maintaining a high level of readiness in responding to emergencies and disasters.
This accomplishment was made possible with the support of Mayor Ruffy Biazon and under the leadership of Dr. Erwin O. Alfonso, Head of the Department of Disaster Resilience and Management (DDRM), whose leadership and support continue to strengthen the Cityโs emergency response capabilities.
As part of the recognition, the Top 1 performer from each of the Top Five LGUs will be given an opportunity to participate in Search and Rescue Training in Japan, providing valuable exposure to international rescue practices and standards.
The evaluation further highlighted the importance of continuous training, regular practice, effective teamwork, safety procedures, and adequate rescue equipment in strengthening emergency response capabilities.
