As we step forward into 2026, we reflect on the progress and meaningful engagements that shaped the Consulate of the Independent State of Samoa’s work throughout 2025. This past year marked important milestones in strengthening Samoa’s diplomatic presence, deepening international partnerships, and supporting the Samoan community in the Philippines.
One of the year’s significant highlights was the Consulate’s participation in the World Health Organization Western Pacific Region’s GHLC 2025 Graduation Ceremony in Manila, where Samoa proudly celebrated the achievement of Ms. Leneuati Punimata—one of the 24 graduates recognized for their leadership in global health. Her success stands as a testament to Samoa’s growing role in the global health community.
The Consulate also took part in the 95th National Day celebration of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, reaffirming Samoa’s dedication to fostering goodwill, mutual respect, and cooperation with nations around the world. The event gathered distinguished diplomats and representatives, showcasing the strength and unity of the international community.
In 2025, the Consulate expanded its digital presence through an information campaign across its social media platforms, sharing essential facts about Samoa and helping raise awareness about consular services. This effort strengthened the visibility of Samoa’s culture, identity, and official engagements, while ensuring that Samoan nationals in the Philippines remained informed and connected.
Equally important was the Consulate’s ongoing service to nationals—addressing inquiries on visas, legal assistance, travel matters, and other essential concerns. Support was provided through email, social media, and hotline channels, reflecting the Consulate’s commitment to prompt and dependable assistance.
With gratitude to our partners, friends, and the Samoan community, the Consulate looks ahead to 2026 with renewed purpose and dedication. We remain committed to building stronger connections, elevating Samoa’s presence, and providing meaningful service to all Samoans abroad.
