The Central Luzon State University (CLSU), through its University Extension Center (UEC), conducted a seminar for participants of the Y2 DOSTโ€“PCAARRD Youth Science Program in the Regions (Central Luzon) on June 3, 2026, at the Cabisuculan Mushroom Growers and Farmers Association (CMGFA) Mushroom Center in Brgy. Cabisuculan, Science City of Muรฑoz, Nueva Ecija.

The activity aimed to expose participants to science and technology (S&T)-based agricultural practices, extension initiatives, and community development programs implemented by the UEC. Through lectures, field demonstrations, and interactions with technology adopters, participants gained firsthand knowledge of agricultural innovations that contribute to sustainable livelihoods and rural development.

Representing the UEC Technology Promotion Division, Mr. Randy L. Kwan welcomed the participants and highlighted the role of extension services in bridging the gap between the university and local communities. He also introduced the Techno Village Development Program (TVDP) and showcased its key commodities and technologies, including ItikPINAS, mushroom production, and tilapia production systems.

Mr. Marlon Diga facilitated the lecture on mushroom production, sharing essential concepts and practices in mushroom cultivation. Meanwhile, Mrs. Beth Agustin, an ItikPINAS technology adopter, shared her experiences in duck production and guided participants through a field visit to the production area. An open forum followed, providing an opportunity for participants to ask questions and gain further insights into technology adoption, production practices, and farm management.

The seminar enhanced participantsโ€™ appreciation of university extension services and demonstrated how science- and technology-driven innovations can empower communities and support sustainable agricultural development.

Sa ating teknotalakayan ngayong araw, ating kikilalanin ang Center for Transboundary Animal Diseases o CenTrAD ng Central Luzon State University kasama ang kasalukuyang Director nito na si ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐•๐ข๐ซ๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ข๐š ๐Œ. ๐•๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐š.
