The University of Rizal System (URS) reminds everyone to observe proper and authorized use of its registered marks.

๐Ÿ”น For Academic, Non-Academic Employees, Students, and URS-Recognized Organizations
Use of URS marks is limited to official and educational purposes. All applications must follow university branding guidelines, and income-generating use requires prior approval from the IPITSH Office.

๐Ÿ”น For Non-URS Organizations, Agencies, Businesses, and Clientele
Use of URS registered marks is strictly regulated. Only officially recognized events and licensed entities are permitted. Unauthorized use, imitation, or reproductionโ€”including similar names, designs, and elements that may cause confusionโ€”is prohibited.

๐Ÿ“Œ A License to Use must be secured through the URSโ€“IPITSH Office. Interested parties are required to submit the necessary documents, including a Letter of Intent, company profile, and business registration.

Here is the step-by-step process on how to become an Authorized URS Trademark Licensee for the use of URS Registered Marks.

1. Prospective licensees and all suppliers intending to use the URS registered marks must submit a Letter of Intent addressed to the President, through the Head of the IPITSH Office.

2. Upon receipt of the Letter of Intent, the IPITSH Office shall respond by providing the necessary information, requirements, and reference materials, and list of related documents.

3. The prospective licensee must submit the required documents, which includes the company profile, business registration, business permit, and other pertinent requirements for evaluation.

4. The IPITSH Staff shall issue an Acknowledgment Receipt for the submitted documents and evaluate them for completeness and veracity.

5. URS, through the IPITSH Office, and the prospective licensee shall sign a Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).

6. The IPITSH Office shall arrange a licensing negotiation between the prospective licensee and the authorized URS representatives.

7. Once both parties agree on the terms and conditions, the prospective licensee shall accomplish the URS Trademark Licensing Agreement Form.

8. The IPITSH Office shall facilitate the signing of the agreement by the URS President, authorized URS representatives, and the licensee.

9. URS, through the IPITSH Office, shall issue a โ€œLicense to Useโ€ to the licensee.

๐Ÿ” Interested licensees intending to use the URS registered marks are advised to follow the official licensing procedures through the URSโ€“IPITSH Office.
