1,052 GRADUATES MARCH IN MONCAST’S 14TH COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES
A moment of pride, triumph, and new beginnings unfolded as 1,052 graduates successfully marched during the 14th Commencement Exercises of Monkayo College of Arts, Sciences, and Technology (MonCAST) with the theme, “Rising Beyond Horizon: Shaping Resilient Leaders of Tomorrow.”
The ceremony was graced and officially presided over by Hon. Manuel JayR N. Zamora, Jr., Board of Trustees Chairperson and Municipal Mayor, together with Dr. Gary P. Lagatiera, LPT, College President, whose leadership continues to steer the institution toward excellence and progress.
Adding inspiration to the celebration were the meaningful words of Dr. Maricar R. Casquejo, CESO III, Regional Director of CHED Regional Office XI, who served as the Commencement Speaker. In her address, she defined MonCAST in her own words as an institution that nurtures graduates to become adaptive, resilient, productive, and committed to serving the communities they belong to, inspiring the graduates as they begin a new chapter of their lives.
Also present during the occasion were members of the Board of Trustees: Hon. Hugh Maxuelle Zamora-Apsay, SB Member; Engr. Sunshine G. Paulin; Mr. Miguel Labrador; Mr. Elvin Hope Romano; Mr. Kurt Mikhael Labrador, SSG President; and Mr. Erap L. Ordaneza, LPT, MAEd-ELT, Alumni President.
The successful conduct of the event was made possible through the active supervision of the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, headed by Dr. Josephine G. Paulin, VPAA and BEED Dean, together with the college deans: Sittie Aisha M. Enoria, L.Agr., MExEd, BSA Dean; Dr. Elmer Taripe, Secondary Education Dean; and Dr. Dave E. Aparecio, BSBA Dean, alongside program coordinators, faculty, and staff.
The ceremony became even more meaningful through the presence, love, and unwavering support of the graduates’ parents, guardians, and family members, who stood proudly beside them in this milestone.
As the graduates step into a brighter future, one truth remains clear, they will light up the world, for they have long been preparing for this moment to come.
