Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) and Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) meetings

On September 4, 2026, PCAPT MARK GLYCERYL AMOR G GARCIA, Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of Monkayo Municipal Police Station, attended the Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) and Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) meetings, presided over by Municipal Mayor Manuel JayR N. Zamora Jr. The meetings were attended by the Punong Barangays of the different barangays and representatives from various government agencies and concerned offices.

The discussions focused on current peace and order concerns, anti-drug initiatives, crime prevention strategies, and other matters concerning public safety and community security. The activity aimed to strengthen inter-agency coordination and cooperation among the local government, law enforcement agencies, barangay officials, and other stakeholders in promoting peace, order, and a drug-free community within the municipality of Monkayo.

MONKAYO POLICE STATION HIGHLIGHTS LAW ENFORCEMENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN RADIO GUESTING

On September 4, 2026, PCAPT MARK GLYCERYL AMOR G GARCIA, Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of Monkayo Municipal Police Station (MPS), conducted a radio guesting at Juander Radyo 88.8 in Nabunturan, Davao de Oro.

During the radio interview, PCAPT Garcia discussed the accomplishments of Monkayo MPS in the implementation of SACLEO (Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operations), including enforcement activities conducted in accordance with existing laws and regulations. He also highlighted the station’s efforts in addressing violations of Republic Act No. 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act, as well as the enforcement of applicable local ordinances within the municipality.

PCAPT Garcia emphasized the importance of cooperation between the police and the community in maintaining peace and order. He encouraged the public to observe existing laws and ordinances and to promptly report suspicious activities or incidents involving children to the proper authorities.

The radio guesting also served as an avenue to provide the public with crime prevention and safety reminders, particularly on the protection of children, compliance with local regulations, and the importance of community participation in preventing and reporting unlawful activities.

Through continuous information dissemination and community engagement, Monkayo MPS remains committed to strengthening public awareness, promoting lawful conduct, and ensuring a safe and peaceful community in accordance with the PNP’s mandate of providing responsive, accessible, and community-oriented police service.

MUNICIPAL ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING

On September 4, 2026, the Monkayo Municipal Police Station conducted a Municipal Advisory Council (MAC) meeting headed by Alfredo Comaingking-MAC Chairman to discuss future plans, programs, and initiatives aimed at strengthening police-community relations and improving the delivery of police services. The meeting provided an opportunity for the council members and stakeholders to share insights, recommendations, and proposed activities that will support peace and order, public safety, and crime prevention in the municipality.

The activity also aimed to strengthen collaboration among the police, local government, and other stakeholders in addressing emerging concerns and ensuring the effective implementation of future programs and initiatives for the benefit of the community.

CONDUCT OF CHECKPOINT OPERATIONS

‎September 5, 2026 || Personnel of the Monkayo Municipal Police Station (MPS) successfully conducted simultaneous checkpoint operations, as part of intensified efforts to ensure public safety and maintain peace and order within the community.
‎
‎The operation aimed to strengthen police visibility, deter criminal activities, and enforce existing laws and local ordinances. During the conduct of the checkpoint, several traffic violators were apprehended for infractions of municipal ordinances. Corresponding citation tickets were issued to the violators in accordance with local traffic regulations.
‎
‎These proactive measures are being implemented to instill discipline among motorists, promote road safety, and prevent the occurrence of crimes within the municipality.

‎The Monkayo MPS reaffirms its commitment to safeguarding the community through consistent law enforcement operations and active police presence.
