As the 18th Legislative Council draws close and adjourned its last Session last June 27th, and as the term of its members ended today 30th of June 2022.

This page shall cease to be the Official page of the Sangguniang Bayan of Monkayo and shall now be renamed as "Sangguniang Bayan of Monkayo (18th Legislative Council)".

This shall serve as a repository of the official activities and acts of the 18th Sanggunian under Vice Mayor Joanna Aileen A. Gentugaya, as its Presiding Officer.

SANGGUNIANG BAYAN'S 127TH REGULAR SESSION

Today, Vice Mayor Joanna Gentugaya presided over the 127th regular session of the town's prime legislative body, our 18th Sangguniang Bayan.

The legislative body of this municipality is committed to bring forth and usher quality legislative actions that goes hand in hand with that of the executive direction of Mayor Ramil Joanna Gentugaya.

The legislative arm of this local government further commits to its sworn mandate of providing quality legislation for the best interest and welfare of each and every Monkayoan.

Upholding its commitment of providing and enacting quality legislative measures that will complement with that of the executive direction as adopted by the local chief executive through the formulation and enactment of quality legislation and policies.

Our sanggunian is committed at working hand in hand with the executive in providing a progressive and developed municipality, more so that we are in a public health crisis such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

18TH SANGGUNIANG BAYAN HELD ITS 125TH REGULAR SESSION

Today, Vice Mayor Joanna Gentugaya presided over the 125th regular session of the 18th Sangguniang Bayan. The legislative body of this municipality is committed to bring forth and usher quality legislative actions that goes hand in hand with that of the executive direction of Mayor Ramil Joanna Gentugaya.

The legislative arm of this local government further commits to its sworn mandate of providing quality legislation for the best interest and welfare of each and every Monkayoan.

Some of the key matters discussed were:

1. Authorizing the Mayor to sign and enter into a memorandum of agreement with DOST XI for the provision of RX BOX equipment for the Municipal Health Office;

2. Authorizing the extension of payment of application and renewal of business permits until February 28, 2022.

Upholding its commitment of providing and enacting quality legislative measures that complement with that of the executive direction as adopted by the local chief executive through the formulation and enactment of quality legislation and policies, the sanggunian is committed at working hand in hand with the executive in providing a progressive and developed municipality.
In today's session, the sanggunian welcomed to shed light on matters the following: Dr. Jhericx V. Gapate (OIC - Municipal Health Officer), Ms. Yerlin D. Cornites, MPA (PESO Manager) and Mr. Mariolito L. Camangyan (Municipal Treasurer).

1/10/2022 In consonance with its mandate the Sangguniang Bayan of Monkayo under the leadership of Vice Mayor Joanna Gentugaya holds its 124th Regular Session.

In keeping up with its thrust of providing quality legislation for the betterment of the lives of Monkayoans, your local legislative body is committed at bringing complementary actions to equalize the executive's direction of providing local government services through responsive and inclusive local governance.

The sanggunian further upholds its commitment at enacting legislation which brings the welfare of each and every Monkayoan in the center of its endeavors anchored on the vision of Responsive and Inclusive Local Governance as identified by the administration of Mayor Ramil Joanna Gentugaya.

SANGGUNIAN'S 117TH REGULAR SESSION

Committed to effect the thrusts of Responsive Local Governance by enacting legislation that will truly complement this advocacy, the 18th Sanggunian under the leadership of Vice Mayor Joanna Gentugaya held its 117th Regular Session.

Aiming at providing best services, the Sanggunian continues to work hand in hand with the executive department led by Mayor Ramil Joanna GentugayaMayor Ramil Joanna Gentugaya to carry out good and sound local governance through the implementation of timely programs, projects and services.

Some of the key issues treated for legislative action, were:

1. Treating the Endorsement from the Local Finance Committee (LFC) on the summary of findings and recommendations on Appropriation Ordinance No. 02-2021 embodying the Annual Budget of Barangay Haguimitan amounting to P 4,354,103.00;

2. Treating Resolution No. 17-2021 of Barangay Inambatan, this municipality, a resolution approving the Annual Investment Program (AIP) for CY 2022 amounting to P 23,530,000.00;

3. Treating the proposed Memorandum of Agreement to be entered by and among the local government of Monkayo, Monkayo College of Arts, Sciences and Technology (MonCAST) and Department of Science and Technology (DOST) in the implementation of Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP) in the municipality;

4. An Ordinance adopting the Official Seal/Logo of the Sangguniang Bayan of Monkayo;

5. Treating endorsement for appropriate action the letter from Municipal Treasurer Mr. Mariolito L. Camangyan for the reactivation of LGU Bank Account for the implementation of Farm Inputs Credit Assistance Program (FICAP) at BDO Network Bank.

Rest assured, that the local government under this leadership continuously work for the betterment of each and every Monkayoan through responsive and inclusive local governance.

SB MONKAYO ENACTS RESOLUTION REQUESTING NBI FOR THE IMMEDIATE INVESTIGATION OF QUIZALA-MONTEBON CASE: FOR ITS SPEEDY RESOLUTION

The 18th Sangguniang Bayan under the leadership of Vice Mayor Joanna Gentugaya has passed Resolution No. 251 dated November 8, 2021 which calls for the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) through Atty. Arnold Rosales (Regional Director), Region XI to conduct investigation on the killing of the late Punong Barangay Arnold B. Quizala of TuboTubo and Ms. Alice Montebon of Barangay Union.

This after the local chief executive Mayor Ramil Joanna Gentugaya endorsed this matter for legislative action. Correspondingly, the said resolution was passed which was authored by SB Member Kimberly Benazir May R. Codilla duly seconded by all members present.

Said resolution also manifests the local government and the municipality's commitment to a peace loving community and that these senseless killing have no space in our society more so in Monkayo who's known to have at all costs championed in various strides peace keeping and public safety & security efforts.

SANGGUNIAN'S 114TH REGULAR SESSION

In its continuing quest to provide the best services we can ever give to our people, the 18th Sanggunian of the municipality of Monkayo under the able leadership of Vice Mayor Joanna Gentugaya convened today for its 114th Regular Session.

Cognizant of the need to provide ample and efficient services, the local legislative body is determined to bring in timely legislation which will surely complement and aid the executive development and progress driven policy of responsive, inclusive and good local governance as adopted by this administration under the leadership of Mayor Ramil Joanna Gentugaya.

Among the key matters discussed at today's session was the Concurrence of the Sanggunian to the appointment of Dr. Gary P. Lagatiera, LPT as the first College President (Municipal Government Department Head I) of Monkayo College of Arts, Sciences and Technology (MonCAST) with a fixed term of four years. MonCAST is a local college owned and fully operated by this local government.

The local government along with the Sangguniang Bayan reaffirm its steadfast commitment at bringing the best local government services, programs, projects and activities all for the Monkayoans.

SANGGUNIAN'S 111TH REGULAR SESSION

Legislation is just one of the cornerstone of the local government's mandate to effect and bring in genuine service to its people. In this endeavor, the executive's direction is defined through appropriate acts, measures and ordinances which shall be the guide and blueprint of the town as it chart its road to progress and development.

With this, today the 18th Sanggunian was convened which was led by its Presiding Officer Vice Mayor Joanna Gentugaya.

One of the key matters discussed at today's session was:

* Resolutions related to the implementation of the Resettlement Assistance Program under the National Housing Authority to be implemented at Barangay Pasian dubbed as Balai Pasian.

The local government of Monkayo under the leadership of Mayor Ramil Joanna Gentugaya shall continue to carry forward a local government which shall champion inclusive and responsive local governance through synergic coordination of all its instrumentalities towards better if not best programs for all Monkayoans.

WORK CONTINUES FOR THE 18TH SANGGUNIAN

10/4/2021 The 18th Sanggunian under the leadership of Vice Mayor Joanna Gentugaya continues to perform its mandate amid the challenges we are facing with the continuing COVID-19 pandemic. With this the Sanggunian held its 110th Regular Session.

Quality and efficient legislation must take place to complement the executive department's direction under the leadership of Mayor Ramil Joanna Gentugaya of bringing efficient and effective local governance through programs. projects and services which shall address the needs of each and every Monkayoan.

The Sanggunian's hallmark of leadership is that legislation must come hand in hand with the executive's direction of providing needed interventions anchored on the ideals of Responsive and Inclusive Local Governance.

The session was presided by SB Member Marlon H. Tumaob, with SB Members Ronald T. Manzano, Joel D. Basañes II, Antonio F. Saavedra, Jr. and SKMF President Ivan Jello E. Cajes and Kimberly Benazir May R. Codilla and Datu Paulino T. Sebio (IPMR) who were virtually present.

Some of the key discussions during this session were:
Mutual Partnership Agreement with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Regional Field Office XI relative to the implementation of the construction of Tribal Hall at Barangay Inambatan and Barangay Macopa and the School of Living Tradition at Barangay Mamunga under the KALAHI-CIDSS PAMANA Community Driven Program for Indigenous Peoples.
Memorandum of Agreement with Department of Health - Davao Center for Health Development relative to the implementation of the grant of Special Risk Allowance (SRA) for eligible health workers.
