📢 WEATHER ADVISORY | BARANGAY MAKUGUIHON
As of July 11, 2026

Barangay Makuguihon continues to monitor the effects of Typhoon INDAY (BAVI) and the Enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) affecting parts of Mindanao.

Although Typhoon INDAY is located far north of the country, its interaction with the southwest monsoon may bring cloudy skies, scattered rain showers, thunderstorms, and occasional gusty winds in our area.

⚠️ Residents are advised to:

✅ Stay updated with official advisories from PAGASA, MDRRMO Molave, and the Barangay.
✅ Avoid crossing swollen rivers and flooded areas.
✅ Be alert for possible flash floods and landslides, especially in low-lying and mountainous areas.
✅ Secure your homes and prepare emergency kits.
✅ Report any emergency or incident immediately to the Barangay.

We are thrilled to share a beautiful moment of leadership, unity, and progress in our municipality. Our very own Queen Universe Philippines 2026 candidate, Mimie Melquisedec Del Mar Orbita, was warmly received by our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Cyril Glepa, MD, for a brief yet highly meaningful courtesy call.

This meeting highlights the true character of our local government. Mayor Glepa continues to prove that he is a leader of action, guided by genuine empathy. For someone like him who is quiet leader and family oriented one, his support speaks volumes through actions rather than loud words. By opening his doors to this journey, he shows modern, accessible leadership that truly champions and accepts the LGBTQIA++ community in Molave.

Representing Zamboanga del Sur on the national stage, Mimie proves that today’s trans pageantry is far deeper than just physical beauty (dili lang kini para sa pa-gwapa). She represents the resilience of our town as a multifaceted leader—serving actively as a Barangay Kagawad, thriving as a businesswoman, and protecting the vulnerable as a dedicated VAWC (Violence Against Women and Children) Desk Officer.

Let us rally behind our Queen! We encourage the entire community of Molave and Zamboanga del Sur to support Mimie in this journey of purpose, service, and inclusive representation. 🩵🏳️‍⚧️✨
