28 December 2022 | Negosyo Center Maasin Launching Ceremony

The Department of Trade and Industry, in partnership with the Local Government of Maasin launched its Negosyo Center last 28 December 2022 to provide ease of doing business and to facilitate access to MSMEs’ services.

The newly established Negosyo Center in Maasin will offer assistance with business registration, business advisory services, business information and advocacy, monitoring and evaluation of business processes for improvement of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

The DTI and the Local Government Unit of Maasin signed a Memorandum of Agreement outlining the terms and obligations of both parties for the establishment of the Negosyo Center. The launching ceremony ended by the ribbon cutting and unveiling of the Negosyo Center signage. This is to formally launch the establishment of the 38th Negosyo Center in Iloilo.

DTI Iloilo Provincial Office Year-End Assessment, Planning and Christmas Party happened last December 16, 2022 at The Venue Function Rooms, The Avenue Complex, Smallville, Iloilo City.

Morning session activities were AVP presentation of 2022 accomplishments versus targets from CPD, IDD (ICE, CARP, NC, LSP-NSB, PPG, & CFIDP) and then, followed by Presentation of 2023 PGS Target/OORC and 2023 PAPs.

Afternoon session was Fellowship/ Christmas Party of DTI-IPO employees.

DTI Regional Year-End Assessment and Planning Workshop for DTI Region VI NC-BCs was conducted last December 14, 2022 at Negosyo Center Cabatuan. Negosyo Center Business Counsellors from District 2 and District 3 were gathered to attend the said activity.

This Seminar is one of the requirements for OWWA Balik Pinas! Balik Hanapbuhay Program, a livelihood assistance intended to provide immediate relief to returning OFWs.

Through this program, OFWs who decided to stay in the country and work locally are given the chance to start their own business after completing the requirements.

Business Name Registration is one of the requirements for acquiring Business Permits. This is to provide the legal identity of your business.

BN registration is also one of the many services offered by the Department of Trade and Industry through Negosyo Center. The BN registration is valid for five (5) years from the date of registration.

From November 1 to November 15, the Negosyo Center Mina assisted six (6) clients for their Business Name Registration.

You can apply/renew your BN registration in the nearest Negosyo Center in your area. Bring at least one (1) valid government ID or you can directly apply online through bnrs.dti.gov.ph.

DTI through Negosyo Centers in the 3rd District with the partnership of DA R6 and LGU Di**le conducted the Business Opportunities for Cacao cm Benchmarking on Tablea and Chocolate Processing held at Cabayao's Farm and Shared Service Facility (SSF) on Tablea and Chocolate Processing in the Municipality of Di**le.

3 out of 20 Cacao farmers are from Municipality of Mina. Sir Leovy Ganado, Sir Tereso Gallera Jr. and Sir Rafael Gallera are present and actively participated in this activity.

In the AM activity we visited the Cabayao's farm at Brgy. Agtatacay, Di**le. Sir Relvin Paragua, Cacao Focal Person of DA R6 and Maam Gemma Cabayao, owner of Cabayao's Farm shared their expertise and knowledge on the opportunities in Cacao production and processing. We were also welcomed by the MAO head of LGU Di**le Maam Marfe Quinlat. In the afternoon, LGU Di**le in the person of Sir Ronaldo Quicoy, Agriculturist 1, MAO Di**le toured us and demonstrated the use of equipments in the SSF in processing Cacao. Miss Daryl Mae Salveron, cacao focal person of DTI Iloilo shared the updates on the Cacao Industry Cluster in Iloilo and encourage them to be part of the Iloilo Cacao Council.

The participants were grateful for the opportunity and they look forward for further assistance and intervention of DTI and DA.

Negosyo Center Mina Business Counsellor conducted a one-on-one Entrepreneurship Consultancy with Business Plan Preparation to Sir Louie Grabato. He was also assisted in preparation of financial plan, cash flow statement, investment cost, sales and ROI financial templates. These are few of the requirements needed for Young Farmers Challenge 2022 Competitive Grant Assistance Program of the Department of Agriculture.

The Young Farmers Challenge Fund (YFCF) is a competitive financial grant assistance program for the youth who will engage in new agri-fishery enterprises. The grant shall serve as a start-up capital for their planned agri-fishery enterprise.
