Saluanayan Elementary School successfully kicked off Brigada Eskwela 2026 on June 1, 2026, through a meaningful and collaborative opening activity held jointly with Saluanayan National High School.

The event commenced with a Brigada Eskwela Caravan, bringing together school personnel, parents, stakeholders, community partners, volunteers, and local officials in a shared commitment to support the preparation of our schools for the upcoming school year. The caravan showcased the spirit of volunteerism, unity, and bayanihan that Brigada Eskwela stands for.

Following the caravan, a short opening program was conducted to formally launch the week's activities. Messages of support and encouragement were delivered by school leaders and partners, highlighting the importance of community involvement in creating a safe, clean, and learner-friendly environment for all students.

📢 BRIGADA ESKWELA 2026 CARAVAN – CIVIL REGISTRATION HELP DESK 📢

The Local Government Unit of Midsayap through the Office of the Municipal Civil Registrar, in partnership with Saluanayan Elementary School, invites all parents and guardians to avail of the Civil Registration Help Desk during the Brigada Eskwela 2026 Caravan.

This activity aims to assist parents and guardians in securing Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Birth Certificates and other important civil registry documents required for school enrollment and future government transactions.

Salunayan ES Mentor Teacher Joins National KATATAGAN Training of Trainers in Cebu

Salunayan, Cotabato – May 2026 — Dioden C. Camiros, Master Teacher I of Salunayan Elementary School was selected as one of the official participants in the Training of Trainers for the Katatagan ng Kalooban Tungo sa Pagsulong ng Kabataang Pilipino (KATATAGAN) Program conducted by the Department of Education (DepEd) through the National Educators Academy of the Philippines (NEAP)

Based on the Regional Memorandum dated May 12, 2026, the weeklong training was held on May 17–23, 2026 at the DepEd Ecotech Center in Sudlon, Lahug, Cebu City. The activity was organized in collaboration with the Natasha Goulbourn Foundation (NGF) to strengthen educators’ capacities in providing psychosocial support and resilience-building interventions for learners.

As one of the chosen participants from the Schools Division Office of Cotabato. Mr. Camiros actively engaged in workshops, collaborative discussions, and learning sessions focused on resilience education, mental health awareness, and effective psychosocial support strategies for students. The training also emphasized the importance of equipping teachers with practical tools to help learners cope with challenges and strengthen emotional well-being inside the classroom.

The participation of Dioden C. Camiros highlights the commitment of Salunayan Elementary School in promoting inclusive, learner-centered, and mentally healthy learning environments. Through continuous professional development opportunities such as the KATATAGAN Program, educators are empowered to better respond to the holistic needs of Filipino learners.

School officials and fellow educators expressed pride and support for Mr. Camiros’ participation, recognizing the valuable knowledge and skills he can share with the teaching community upon his return.

Two dedicated teachers from Salunayan Elementary School, namely Karen Gay M. Jomuad, Teacher III, and Jane Mae B. Piolino, Teacher III, actively participated in the seminar-workshop titled “Inclusive Teaching: Practical Strategies to Support Learners with Disabilities” held at the Elai Resort Hotel and Recreation Center

The activity was organized by the Department of Education – Schools Division Office of Cotabato as part of its continuing commitment to strengthen inclusive education and equip teachers with practical strategies in handling learners with disabilities.

The seminar concluded with a renewed commitment among participants to advocate for inclusive education and provide meaningful support to learners with disabilities in their respective schools.

Two councilors inspired graduates of Salunayan Elementary School during 72nd Commencement Exercises with meaningful messages about success and personal growth.

Hon. Prince Salman Gayak Karon of Municipality of Kadayangan highlighted the importance of having the right attitude and strong perseverance in life. He emphasized that success is not achieved overnight but through continuous effort, determination, and a positive mindset. According to him, challenges are part of the journey, and it is one’s character and willingness to push forward that ultimately lead to success.

Meanwhile, Hon. Ellavi Grace Doletin-Debabao of Municipality of Midsayaunderscored the value of collaboration and support from the community. She emphasized that the strong partnership of LGU Midsayap plays a vital role in shaping students into successful individuals. Midsayap Pupils Leaders Present Advocacy Initiatives and Courtesy Call to Mayor Sacdalan

Young leaders from the Midsayap Federation of Supreme Elementary Learners Government (SELG), headed by President Ram A. Otto, paid a courtesy call to Rolando Sacdalan at the municipal hall today, marking a significant step in strengthening youth participation in local governance.

Accompanied by fellow SELG officers, Otto formally introduced the federation’s key advocacy programs aimed at promoting learners leadership, civic responsibility, and active engagement among elementary learners across Midsayap.

The group highlighted initiatives focused on values formation, environmental awareness, and inclusive participation in school and community activities.
During the meeting, Mayor Sacdalan welcomed the young leaders and commended their proactive efforts to contribute to community development at an early age. He emphasized the importance of nurturing leadership skills among the youth, noting that such initiatives play a vital role in shaping responsible future citizens.
