On April 23, 2026, the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Province conducted an on-site quarterly tax filing at the Tech4ED Center in Mayoyao, Ifugao, in partnership with the Negosyo Center Mayoyao and BPLO, bringing their frontline services closer to the community through the BIR D.A.R.E.S. (Digitalization, Accessibility, Responsiveness, Efficiency, and Service Excellence) program, also known as “Rangtay ti Serbisiyo.”

In line with this effort, BIR services are now also available online, allowing taxpayers to process their requirements anytime and anywhere. For those who may need assistance in navigating these digital services, the Tech4ED Center is open to provide guidance and support.

The Local Government Unit of Mayoyao, together with the Local Government Units of Bucay, La Paz, and Kapangan, as well as the City Government of Baguio, actively participated in a comprehensive training and workshop on Data Governance held in Baguio City.🌐💻

The activity was organized by the United Nations Development Programme in partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology and other key stakeholders, aiming to strengthen the capacity of local government units who have their respective Tech4ED Centers in managing, protecting, and utilizing data effectively.

Throughout the workshop, participants were equipped with essential knowledge and practical strategies on data governance frameworks, data quality management, security, and policy development. The event also served as a platform for collaboration, allowing participating LGUs to share experiences, discuss challenges, and explore innovative approaches toward building more efficient, transparent, and data-driven governance systems.

March 6, 2026 – Day 5 of the eLGU Admin and System Setup Training

The fifth and final day of the eLGU Admin and System Setup Training concluded with the completion of the system setup activities and the conduct of the User Acceptance Testing (UAT), where participants verified the functionality and readiness of the system prior to its full implementation.

In addition, representatives from the Department of Information and Communications Technology – Cordillera Administrative Region (DICT-CAR) facilitated a Cybersecurity Awareness Session attended by LGU employees and SK Chairpersons. The session highlighted the importance of responsible use of technology, protection of sensitive information, and strengthening awareness on cybersecurity threats as the municipality moves toward digital governance.

Later in the afternoon, the activity concluded with a certificate awarding and token-giving ceremony held at the scenic Tenogtog Waterfalls. The closing activity allowed participants to celebrate the successful completion of the training in a refreshing environment, away from offices, closed doors, and digital devices—while appreciating the natural beauty of Mayoyao. It also served as a moment of camaraderie and reflection after five productive days of learning, collaboration, and system preparation.

The Local Government Unit of Mayoyao extends its sincere gratitude to the Department of Information and Communications Technology – Cordillera Administrative Region and the Department of Information and Communications Technology Ifugao Provincial Office for conducting and facilitating this meaningful training. From March 2–6, 2026, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Mayoyao successfully completed the five-day eLGU Administrator Training & System Setup conducted by the Department of Information and Communications Technology – Cordillera Administrative Region (DICT-CAR). This milestone activity marks a significant step toward strengthening the municipality’s commitment to digital governance and improved public service delivery.

Through this training, designated LGU personnel were equipped with the knowledge and technical skills necessary to manage and operate the Electronic Local Government Unit (eLGU) System, an innovative platform designed to streamline and modernize government services.

The eLGU System serves as an online one-stop-shop portal that enables constituents to conveniently access a range of automated LGU services anytime and anywhere. Among the services available through the platform are:

✅Online Business Permits and Licensing System (BPLS) Applications
✅Community Tax Certificate (Cedula) Processing
✅Marriage Certificate Requests
✅Birth Certificate Requests
✅Death Certificate Requests

By implementing this digital platform, the LGU of Mayoyao aims to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accessibility in delivering government services to its constituents. This initiative reflects the municipality’s ongoing efforts to embrace digital transformation, ensuring faster transactions, reduced paperwork, and improved convenience for the public.

🌐Building a Safer and Smarter Mayoyao!🌐

Sir Manarex Lad-ao from the MICT and Sir Hallet Carr Tomecwa from the Assessment Office successfully completed the CCTV Security Surveillance Training held in Makati City last October 25–27, 2025.

The training focused on learning how to install, configure, and manage CCTV systems, equipping them with the skills needed to enhance security and safety in our community.

Every step forward in digital learning brings us closer to a more secure, connected, and digitally empowered Mayoyao.
