Please be guided by the following reminders to ensure the safety of learners and personnel, especially during inclement weather:

𝙏𝙮𝙥𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙣 𝙎𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨 𝙎𝙪𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣
When a typhoon signal is raised, please strictly adhere to the official announcements regarding the suspension of face-to-face classes—regardless of whether it is currently raining or not.

𝙇𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙯𝙚𝙙 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙫𝙮 𝙍𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙛𝙖𝙡𝙡 (𝙎𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙉𝙤. 1 𝙤𝙧 𝙉𝙤 𝙎𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙖𝙡)
In cases where there is no typhoon signal or only Signal No. 1, but your barangay, municipality, or province is experiencing heavy rainfall, coordination with the Local Chief Executive (LCE) is essential in determining whether to suspend face-to-face classes.

𝙐𝙣𝙨𝙖𝙛𝙚 𝙍𝙤𝙖𝙙 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 (𝙚.𝙜., 𝙇𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙨𝙡𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙨)
Even without an official class suspension, if roads going to school are dangerous (e.g., prone to landslides or flooding), parents are advised not to send their children to school. Learners may stay home and continue their studies using their Learning Activity Sheets (LAS), Self-Learning Modules (SLM), or books. Teachers should always be prepared for possible class suspensions by providing students with appropriate take-home learning tasks.

𝙎𝙖𝙛𝙚𝙩𝙮 𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙨
No learner should be exposed to danger out of fear of being marked absent. Schools should implement Alternative Delivery Modes (ADM) to ensure that learning continues safely.

𝘿𝙚𝙥𝙀𝙙 𝘾𝘼𝙍 𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙡 𝙎𝙖𝙛𝙚𝙩𝙮
For all DepEd CAR personnel: if traveling to your work station poses a serious risk to your life, please choose safety first. You may contact your immediate superior to arrange for alternative work arrangements.

Guinihon ES Learners are SOAFER Ready! 💪🌍

46 learners took part in the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill.

Kinder learners were introduced to the "Drop, Cover, and Hold" procedure, while older learners practiced the drill. The school personnel worked together to guide and facilitate the activity, promoting earthquake awareness and preparedness in the school.

The learners of Guinihon Elementary School, Guinichon, Mayoyao, Ifugao, were blessed with a donation of educational supplies from the Pilipinas Sierra Mountaineering and outdoor club.

The activity was preceded by a short program, where Teacher Brenda Bumangit welcomed and introduced the donors. Followed by the Team leader Sir Chito sharing inspirational message to the children and parents, pointing out how something as ordinary as a pencil or notebook could ignite a child's drive and aspiration. The distribution of supplies was done per grade and after the distribution the learners and parents expressed thanksgiving by singing thank you very much.

Additionally, school personnel were also given backpacks and planners. Thank you to our generous benefactors for spreading joy and inspiration to our school community! Thank you Pilipinas Sierra Mountaineering and outdoor club!
